Abstractions

This looks quite exotic, but it's really nearly as common here as a weed. A cheap succulent growing outside a Travelodge down the street on Santa Monica Boulevard. Thriving in the Los Angeles summer.

Very Pretty! It looks a bit like artichokes. I love the contrast of the greens and the reds. We don't have anything like that here in New England, as far as I know.

Now wouldn't *that* make a nice tile? And yes, they are kind of expensive. Wouldn't a few with naked guys be great for a bathroom?

It's called Hens and Chickens. I've never seen it with the red on the tips, but it's nice. Did this picture have a filter?
I agree with N, very AP (aestheically pleasing).

No filter, flash, or lighting. It was shot with a digital camera and tripod at night. I left the lens open for about 15 seconds.
