Seed of Chucky
There's another new "gay" movie opening today (along with Kinsey). Seed of Chucky, the fifth installment of the killer doll series, has a rather subversive twist, given it by its gay creator and screenwriter Don Mancini. Mancini tells New York Metro.com about the challenges in creating a fifth sequel to a slasher movie. "I thought it’s much more interesting if the child is completely sweet and innocent and wants nothing to do with that activity. The bottom line is, “What if Chucky had a gay kid?” To me, that’s hilarious. As a gay guy myself, it’s fun to get that kind of material into a mainstream movie in a subversive way. You know, I see so many gay-themed movies suffocated by their good intentions."

I have to agree with the screenwriter here about "gay" movies and their intentions. I can't wait until "gay" filmmakers decide to show something not based on the usual formation of America's present media. We are outsiders in everyway... why not celebrate that instead of celebrating the dubious goals of official governmental/mainstream policies.
