1. As much as I read and think about issues like this, I don't think I'll ever be able to understand why people see us as such a threat. Can anyone explain how my marrying my partner of almost a decade will undermine society or any straight person's marriage?

   Besides, I don't particularly care if you call it "marriage". Call it whatever you like--just give me and my partner the same rights and protections as straight couples can have.
