Further Self Exposure
Photographer and sometime sponsor of Towleroad Dylan Ricci has had one of his photographs chosen for a new book from Rizzoli International to be published this summer, entitled Self-Exposure : The Male Nude Self Portrait. This would be a self-portrait of Mr. Ricci.
"I never enjoyed doing self-portrait nudes as I found it quite difficult to set up the shots and it always seemed to be hit or miss with the timer," Ricci told me. Reed Massengill, the book's editor, apparently loved them however, plucking one of Ricci's from among all the submissions for the cover.
For those of you with with New Year's resolutions, I asked Ricci how he achieves such a sinewy physique: "Nothing really impressive. Four days of weights (one hour) a week with one day or cardio (1 hour). No carbs after 5PM on weekdays. Protein shake before bed. On weekends, anything goes."
And if you're spending part of the winter in Miami, Ricci's work will be included in a show at Dot Fifty One gallery entitled "The Pictures We Never Hang" taking place from 2/26 to 3/14.

...of course, genetics has nothing to do with achieving that sinewy body! ;)

Come to think of it, I work out 5 days a week and I would look just as good: with low lights and a heavy coat of vaseline smeared on a soft focus lens. :-)
