Jeff Gannon Starts a Blog!

GannonJeff Gannon has published a blog. From his latest entry, "Fear and Loathing in the Press Room":

"They dug deep for dirt, dredging up things long past and erecting a fantasy world worthy of a Vince Flynn novel.  What they found is domain names and sexy pictures from which sprung rumors and conspiracy theories.  Based on some of the emails I’ve received, many of these people were conflicted with hatred for my politics and tingling they experienced while viewing pictures said to be me...

...If I had been a liberal reporter with the salacious past now attributed to me, I would be the Grand Marshall of the next Gay Pride Parade as well as a media darling, able to give softball interviews.  But because I am a conservative, they continue to try to smear me with allegations of behavior that they otherwise would vigorously defend."

  1. I think the fact that he feels the need to defend his journalism, or journalistic integrity, says it all. He wasn't, nor is he now, a journalist.

He was, is, and probably will continue to be a pillow biter for the Bush administration.

He fits too well with an administration who wants to point the finger away from them and their actions that he doesn't even get why people are upset. He used a fake name, for an agency that had been online less than a week, to gain access to OUR president. Not to mention possible links to very damning stories within the administration (which until proven I won't discuss). Even if you don't like the president, the fact that a "fake" person with "shifty" credentials got that close scares me.

  3. "and failed Democratic campaigns incited activist bloggers to wage a full-scale jihad against me."

Interesting. By the way, Who is Mr. Gannon?

  5. I completely understand this guy's mentality - which is scary - because I had an exboyfriend who was a Republican Catholic Rush Limbaugh fan. I didn't have him for long, though, thank gawd. He's still out there, in the Windy City, somewhere.

  6. With apologies to anyone who might have coined it before--I suggest a new colloquialism: "Drudge Packer." Define as you will....

  11. My first reaction would be that this is a crazy backwards attempt at smearing the Bush administration with the pure glaring insanity of the whole situation (Gannon's blog just being the latest crazy addition to the fiasco)... but then I remember that I get the same feeling from turning on Fox News.

  12. I knew we've been living in Upside Down World for a long time, but where are the goons who allegedly sedated Martha Mitchell when the Republican Reich needs them now? Even Dem Garry Hart had the sense to finally shut up after the press shoved his stupid challenge to them down his throat along with pictures of Donna Rice [not his wife, as they say] on his lap on a boat called Monkey Business [AKA the USS Political Suicide]. Gannon seems to think he's where Clinton thought he was without knowing about the existence of The Blue Dress With Presidential DNA On It: deny, deny, deny, and change the subject, when, in fact, the equivalent of a huge closet [ahem] of cum-stained souvenirs have shown up--even Kenneth Himmler Starr failed to come up with any photos of Bill's willy, at attention or ease, or Monica showing the pink that throbbed beneath the blue. On the other hand, "Time," after its valentines to Bushes Senior and 25 Millionaire Evangelical Bullies, is cooperating with trying to kill this scandal by nearly ignoring it. Their latest issue only assigns a few lines to the story, and connects none of it to their full page story further in on the reporters in jeopardy of jail for withholding their sources on the exposed CIA agent investigation and her Bush Enemies List husband. Does Rupert Murdoch now own Time, too.

  13. Dudes, relax. We're all gay here. Give the man a break. Since when do we all have to wear the same T-shirt? Any gay man who gains access is a good thing, like it or not. HRC should take a lesson. Sad but revealing when a cloaked "prostitute" can have more access to decision makers than the best fund-raising machines ever created. Jealousy leads to anger . . . you know the rest. Anyway dudes, aren't you bored of being angry all the time? I am. Give the Gannon boy his props and let him disappear.
