Shrek 2 is next animated film on hit list of anti-gay conservative groups, and the reasons are as yawn-inducing as ever:
Parents who are thinking about taking their children to see Shrek 2 may wish to consider the following:
"The article then proceeds to describe one of the characters, an 'evil' bartender (voiced by Larry King) who is a male-to-female transgender in transition and who expresses a sexual desire for Prince Charming. In another identified scene, Shrek and Donkey need rescuing from a dungeon by Pinocchio and his nose, which is made to extend as an escape bridge by getting the wooden boy to lie about not wearing women's underwear."
Royal Navy takes "huge step forward", begins actively recruiting gays.

It's a little late for them to take on Shrek 2, isn't it? It's finished playing in theaters, the bulk of the DVD sales are over by now, and it's already been pre-sold to pay cable and broadcast. But these "protests" these right-wing "family" groups concoct are all about keeping the checks rolling in from their members, anyway. The subject of the "outrage" is really beside the point. The point is to work their members up enough so they send in checks.

I find it very amusing whenever I learn about what pisses off the extreme religious right. You wonder why the world looks at us and goes,'what the hell are those americans doing again?!?!?'
