Moby wants a gay son: "I was talking to my friend Laura, who sings on [my latest] record, and we're both getting to the point where we want to start families. We're convinced that if we have children, we're going to do everything in our power to make them gay. Like maybe drinking a lot of extra soy milk while she's pregnant, or anything that would work to make that happen. I'd just rather have a really sharp, interesting, smart gay son than some big dumb hetero meathead." The conservative rag publishing Moby's liberal ranting from around the web should note that homosexuality is not a learned/taught behavior, but I can't blame him for wanting!

Maybe it's me but isn't Moby just reinforcing stereotypes. Gay equals cultured, urban and interesting while straight equals big, dumb meathead. Granted, it's hardly a bad stereotype to have, but it's still stereotyping. I could be wrong, but last time I checked, sexual orientation only determines who like to have sex with, not your personality traits.

Moby should hope for gay grandkids instead: the gay gene skips a generation.

I love the soy milk theory: that's a new one on me. I can assure you my mom didn't drink the stuff back in 196.. um, I mean, 1974, yeah , 1974.

maybe we all just need to look at the actual quote in the complete context of Moby's interview instead of on a right-wing crackpot pseudonewswire that even Jeff Gannon would wonder about.
In the actual PlanetOut interview, it turns out Moby was talking about getting gay-bashed, and he made some (what sounds like a) joking aside about how he'd do anything he could to have his kid not become, not just any kind of meathead, but a gay-bashing meathead.
Somehow, I guess that nuance was lost on the gaybashing WND.
