Fred Phelps, whose church intends to "picket big fag bash in Philadelphia... billed by the fags as a National Celebration of the 40th Anniversary of their filthy GLBT movement."

    Barney Frank will eviscerate Phelps and expose him as the complete lunatic he is... The downside, Phelps gets publicity, which is all he really wants.

  5. The more he does, the more I think Fred Phelps is great for us. He gets people to really see the face of hatred. Yes, America, that's what homophobia looks like. So I hope Fred and his merry band make a royal spectacle of themselves.

  6. Frank, or anyone else, is a fool to agree to a debate with Phelps--it only serves to elevate him to something above the parasitic loon confined to the street that he is.

    Elizabeth Birch has foolishly been appearing in debates around the country with one of the slightly more civilized mouth pieces for theocratic fascism. What's the point?

  10. Barney Frank is smart & witty some would say he is urbane, and some people find him attractive. No one finds him stylish. So what you want is a Chelsea Boy with brains (who would not)to represent all of us. I'm sure the Lesbians will be very supportive of that. As has been discussed here in the past Anderson Cooper (who fits the request of Matt-Michigan) appears unwilling to carry the Rainbow flag at the beginning of the parade.

  11. Like Franks is really going to agree to debate Phelps. Please.

    I agree that Phelps and his minions are a boon to our cause. Their ridiculous hate drives others away. Because he's so over the top I've wondered more than a few times if he isn't putting on a big act to produce that very effect. We get his press releases faxed to our office and they are so extreme they seem like a parody, like something out of Landover Baptist.
