Hypocritical, child molesting Spokane Mayor James West should resign, says National Gay and Lesbian Task Force, Seattle Times. NGLTF: "Some media reports quote people as saying this is a 'tragic' situation for West and imply that his conduct showed he was 'uncomfortable with his identity.' Nonsense. Pedophilic behavior is always wrong and has nothing do with sexual orientation. This man - whether he's straight, bisexual, or gay - deserves nothing but scorn. He needs to resign immediately." UPDATE: Computers seized...takes leave of absence.
Vanity Fair: Jeff Gannon's Public Blogging. Friend of Gannon: "If I talk to Jeff about a lot of gay issues, he freaks—he can't go there. Jeff never stood in front of the mirror, he doesn't think he's part of the gay community, and he doesn't think what he's done affects the gay community. The guy at the end of American Beauty—that's Jeff. He can't come to terms with who he is."

Of course he knows who he is...it's just too difficult to be "real", so he's chosen the easy road. That of a hypocritical right wing bigot...self-hating bigot specifically. I'm sure he thought Bush, et al, would protect him from if his past surfaced, but they only protect themselves, and they eat their injured.
As for being part of the Gay Community...Mr. Gannon is certainly NOT. He may like both ends filled with sausage, but he has no conception of what it really means to be Gay in a Bush dominated 2005...but he's about to find out.

hmmmmm....ominous. If Jeff Gannon gets kidnapped and fed to queer eating crocodiles, I'm pretty sure we know which direction to point the finger (cough*Wayne*cough).

He'd be dressed in his birthday suit and those sexy black leather army boots he's so fond of showing off on his web sites. Of course I'd allow the dog tags too...they add so much masculinity to the overall look, and I hear that they're "in" for crucifixions this year.

I still insist (perhaps foolishly) that Gannon/Guckert is simply not bright enough to add two and two. His little brain just wants to explode when too much info (conservative hack, gay hustler) enters it!
