Tomorrow it will be the Catholics vs. the Gays in Spain. A group of Spanish Bishops are planning to stage a mass demonstration Saturday to oppose gay marriage and adoption of children by gay couples. An armada of 200 buses and six aircraft have been employed to transport demonstrators to Madrid. Bishop: "If it is the state itself that establishes a law which ignores the essence of marriage, then the damage it causes to the true family, to children and society as a whole will be incalculable." Thank goodness the Spaniards have a leader in Zapatero — whom I expect will come back with a fiery and intelligent response to this hate-mongering.
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney says he'll support a newly proposed amendment effectively banning gay marriage in that state. Over a year has passed since Massachusetts began legally marrying gay couples. The evil Mitt also says he won't even support civil unions! How did such a great state get such an evil overlord?

Hell yeah! I'm a gay man who loves gay sex, but c'mon! You don't have to do it in a park where there are kids nearby!! Good for the Carolina Cops!!

I'm just south of Mass in RI and I'm still wondering how Mitt became governor up there. WTF?

Well, as a voter in the last Massachusetts governor election I can tell you that in this state that is SOOO saturated with Democrats, the party splits constantly and they can't get their act together. So, people choose the one that looks like he has a firm control on his party. Then we get stuck with Mormon vampires as governor of one of the most liberal states in the union.

Check out this comment on Andrew Sullivan's blog. It seems to make sense if Romney is really going to run for national office.

Romney has no chance of ever being elected President...c'mon, President Mitt?? Mass needs to follow Washington's suit and begin a recall campaign.

Mitt had a brief flirtation with running for Senate here in Utah after he swooped in to save the 2002 Olympics. I can't say if that would have been improvement or not. We've already got Orrin.

How do you think? The Mormons in masse elected him among others. Our former governor, a "holy" Mormon was kicked out after he publically callled people fags and picaninnys. Those groups plus others got up a petition to start impeachment proceedings.
