Not So Vague
Did someone cut off Wonder Woman's arm and reattach it to Jesse Metcalfe? Trent at Pink is the New Blog wonders, "What's with the jewelry?"
Well, if we weren't so sure it's the work of an overzealous stylist determined to give Jesse that ironic butch retro look (though not even Rod Stewart and a Camaro can make the sweet boy look tough) we might think that Jesse was an "excited, energized, adventurous, ready-to-go" (see mood ring color meaning chart) bottom (note armband is on his right wrist).
Or maybe it is that Jesse has adopted the new "gay vague" look.
Cuz...metrosexuality is so five minutes ago. The NYT's David Colman jumped all over this trend on Sunday:
"A new gray area...is rendering gaydar - that totally unscientific sixth sense that many people rely on to tell if a man is gay or straight - as outmoded as Windows 2000. It's not that straight men look more stereotypically gay per se, or that out-of-the-closet gay men look straight. What's happening is that many men have migrated to a middle ground where the cues traditionally used to pigeonhole sexual orientation - hair, clothing, voice, body language - are more and more ambiguous. Make jokes about it. Call it what you will: 'gay vague' will do. But the poles are melting fast."
However, Jesse Metcalfe's jewelry ain't "vague." It's pretty damn gay.
And Lynda Carter is wandering around somewhere searching for a limb.
