Big Brother is Back!
Once again my summer TV schedule is being consumed by the video crack that is Big Brother. Did anybody catch the show last night? Personal shopper Beau Beasley came out to meteorology student Howie, who momentarily looked lost for words, and then commented, "You have a nice little musculature" (or something like that). Howie doesn't seem fazed by much, certainly, as he demonstrated by donning this get-up and putting on a show for the other housemates. Meteorology student? Body-obsessed? Drag-inclined? Beau commented that he thought Howie was "bi-curious". Ya think?

Just discovered Towleroad yesterday and am already a huge fan. Glad to know you'll be following BB along with me. Yvette still needs to come out to the house, maybe that will push Howie along.

I'm so angry I missed the first episode of Big Brother but I did catch the episode last night. Everyone's got a "secret" theme this summer... hot off of Desperate Housewives and Lost's methodology.

Beau: Exhibit 47 for "Why We Are Still Not Free." Why are so many gay people retarded when it comes to talking about their own lives? Beau referred to his "lifestyle." Hello, Ms. Thing, you know "bicurious" but not that "lifestyle" is an unfortunate Linguistic Chic expression that only lasted long enough among gay "leaders"/commentators for it to be picked up by the American Taliban who are now clubbing us over the head with it because it implies choosing one's orientation [which reminds one of the similarly self-defeating "preference"--my firm's employee handbook says they protect both categories for some inane reason]. But then, why should the average gay man, particularly if he's yet another one sent over from "Flaming Fag TV Casting," be expected to know more than some of our high profile members? Alec Mapa, a cypher if there ever was one, repeats in the latest "Advocate" the myth that drag queens started the Stonewall riot [which pales at the self-deluding nonsense of his interviewee Cocoa Peru's conviction that people everywhere automatically respect dragsters--move out of the ghetto, Girlfriend]. In a recent "In the Life" rerun, Harvey Fierstein, in the middle of one of his frequently eloquent commentaries, repeats the myth that Harvey Milk was the first elected out gay. Not. Then there's Margaret Cho. I'm uncertain what her current orientation claim is, but I am certain she's probably still saying, as she did on Sharon Osbourne's show last year, that SF Mayor Gavin Newsom personally married First Couple Del Martin & Phyllis Lyon. Not. Varying mistakes varying in importance, yes, but collectively they demonstrate a major reason why the methodical, always on message, masters of buzz words Right Wing is running the country now and in the foreseeable future.

I LOVE this show!
I think james and beau are a couple - an real life couple. I think Ivette and Kaysar are siblings. If not - then I think eric and kaysar will be revealed as a team. I think Howie (is NOT bicurious - I think he's playing a game) and Rachel are a couple. But I think Jennifer couple be Rachel's partner - and that Rachel threw a fit when Jennifer was in her room to prove she doesn't know her.
I cast the stand-ins for the show for tests, but I know NOTHING. They wouldn't let us even see pics of the cast in advance.
I will have no social life for the next two months.

Of all the things I comment on on your blog, I have to comment on the BB thing. Figures.
Anyways, Howie's admitted on the live feeds that he's messed around with guys before. Figures. [both regarding Howie and the fact that I troll the live Big Brother internet feeds.]
