Bill Gates is helping fund a branch of the far right "think tank" the Discovery Institute. One of the DI's aims, according to AmericaBlog, is "influencing school curriculum by repackaging creationism in a clever manner." To the Gates' Foundation's credit, according to the Times article the money they give to the DI is earmarked for the center's transportation initiatives, and not for their ridiculous intelligent design lobbying efforts. Still, it's disappointing to see them even associated with the institute in this way.

Maybe Bill Gates has so much money, he just doesn't know where it all is.
Maybe this is another good reason to take a bite of the Apple -- just like Adam and Eve did.
