My heart stopped for a second as I watched that scene.
Watch Katie Sackhoff in the background when Bamber drops part of the small towel to shake hands with Xena. We almost get full frontal, but Katie gets a full look at his ass, and starts cracking up. She has to look away form the camera, and it makes me think he did it as a gag.
God, he is so beautiful.

Oh my God, my love for that show "grows" every day. And if you haven't heard Jamie give an interview, he sounds almost conclusively gay.
But give some spoiler warnings next time! I have a TiVo backlog of about three weeks, and that would have been a pleasant surprise!

Battlestar is a great show, and Jamie Bamber is a great actor, and hot for days. In real life he has this sexy British accent. And in a "making of" show that Sci-Fi Channel did, he was parading around in an Abercrombie tight shirt, baggy shorts and flipflops, looking like he just returned from a week in P'town. *drool*

Mmm I love that show for so many reasons. They took what would have been the worst episode of the season and made it my favorite all with the drop of one little, shrunken towel.
While I'm pretty sure Jamie's not actually gay, he has sounded quite interested in taking the character in that direction. And while the writers thus far have shown no reluctance to stray from the cliche into potentially taboo areas, I doubt they'd do it. Especially if it meant giving up on the requisite sexual tension between their two otherwise sexually ambiguous protagonists.

Uh, Bamber is married to a woman, and is straight. When one snarkily implies alleged sexuality of another person, it's not done as a complement. It's the snarkiness that stands out.
Why must every handsome man have to be a closet case? Why not appreciate him for acting and looks instead of projecting onto Bamber?

Jamie Bamber is truly hot. If it wasn't for him my commitment to BG would be in serious trouble right now. SciFridays are a back to back feast of beautiful men. Ben Browder and Michael Shanks on SG-1 are beautiful together. Joe Flanigan on SG Atlantis is hot and Nathan Fillion on Firefly is too.

It's interesting that these sci-fi shows are clearly targeting the gay male audience -- I mean, there just aren't that many women who watch sci-fi.
And it's nothing new. I had a crush on Richard Hatch when he played Apollo in the original Battlestar Galactica in the '70s.

kids, I HAVE to share this, and glad I have the opportunity! later on in that episode with D'anna Beers, watch when she's checking the footage they have of that locker room scene. YOU CAN SEE JAIMIE'S NICE, ROUNDED, BARE ASS!!
on a serious note, I do love BSG. I really haven't seen such a smart show on television. it's prophetic as well as entertaining. I just wish that it wasn't called Battlestar Galactica. oh well.
Do you guys think they are targeting gay males? I think they target everyone. I can have a serious conversation with my roomie's republican boyfriend about the show. we both watch the same show, but see it differently. that speaks to the genius of the writers and producers...
