road.jpg Camilla Parker Bowles is really making a power grab for that Queen position. First she gets the Brits to create a buzzphrase for her over the top fashion sense and now she has the Queen loaning her tiaras. Fasten your seatbelts...

road.jpg A harsh blow has been dealt to gay marriage in New Hampshire. A state commission on same-sex unions voted 10-2 to not allow gays to marry, not recognize same-sex unions from other states, and not to set up a domestic partner registry for couples who can't marry. So much for rubbing shoulders with gay-friendly Vermont.

  1. Brokeback should win this if there's any justice in the world.

  2. Gosh, I am just SO over all the "Brokeback Mountain" promotion. I really wanted to see it 8 weeks ago, but now I'm starting not to care. It's just a movie. In fact, I'm wondering if its moment hasn't already passed. Maybe we should just pretend it came out in September and move on.

  3. The gay community might have been getting somewhat of a 'Brokeback' promo overdose, but not so the mainstream market, to whom the material of gay comboy love is not exactly a everyday topic. I think Ang Lee and company are buidling up 'Brokeback' the way he did with 'Crouching Tiger' back in year 2000, which was starting small and getting the buzz through word-of-mouth before widening release nation-wide.

  4. Calm down, Buster. It's clearly being positioned to win awards, and if we all care for it as much as we do, we should be patient enough to give it a bit more time and let the hype precede what promises to be a groundbreaking and truly beautiful film. Once in general release the REAL hype will begin.
