Here’s a little game. Is this the cover of the new Pet Shop Boys album Frontier, or Kate Bush’s new album Aerial? No cheating.
Of course, it’s Kate Bush. The Boys don’t have an album named Frontier coming out, although it does seem very PSB to me. I love the convergence of natural and digital.
The cover of Ms. Bush’s new album Aerial features an audio waveform dressed up to look like an archipelago of jutting rocks. Wondering if this is perhaps a coded cover (ala Coldplay), Kempa.com put it to the test and loaded it up into a sound program. The result is, well, noisy.
Questions remain, however. Is it at the right speed? Etcetera, etcetera. In any case, you can listen to one interpretation of Kate Bush’s new album cover there. If any of you Towleroad audiophiles take a crack at decoding the audio, let us know.
