Storm Watchers

Some eerie wire photos of Cancun, Mexico as Hurricane Wilma approached on Wednesday evening (left) and Thursday.

SeasonhurricaneThe storm is still predicted to pass just north of Key West.

At least one right wing rag is already associating the hurricane with a homosexual party, that being Fantasy Fest in Key West. They quote the lovely Alabama Senator Hank Erwin: "America has been moving away from God. The Lord is sending appeals to us. As harsh as it may sound, those hurricanes do say that God is real, and we have to realize sin has consequences."

Check out this link for a fascinating time-lapse visualization of the Atlantic Hurricane season.

  2. I think God could be a little more creative than hurricanes and earthquakes. What about turning the ocean to blood or a hail of frogs? Boils? Anything, just not that whole shake and soak show again.

  3. Erm... I thought God promised never to punish us by rain & flood after that Noah and his ark incident. Didn't He give us a rainbow as a symbol of that promise?

  4. Isn't it clear that God is punishing the RED states that elected Bush?

  5. There's a natural association between Blowing Hurricanes and Blowing Guys. I can see where it would confuse some folks.

Simple minded people have always needed to attribute things they don't understand to an act of God.

    LOL at Christians.
