Mysterious maple syrup smell in NYC is back again.
There's something strangely compelling about this shot of Clinton visiting The Spotted Pig bistro in Greenwich Village. Perhaps because it was shot with the ultra-low resolution of a cameraphone but still happens to capture the former pres's command over a room. (Newyorkology via Eater)

Brisbane, Australia man convicted of deliberately transmitting HIV to a man he picked up at a bar. The conviction carries a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison.

We may never know the facts of this case, but two things are clear. 1. Condoms only work when you actually put them on. 2. You really don't know when or if it's safe to leave yourself or your partner unprotected.
If this was a case of deliberate infection, I would support the death penalty. Death by lethal injection may seem like poetic justice, but it's a lot easier than death from AIDS complications.

Correction please!!!
1. Condoms 'hardly' work when you actually put them on... since 7-10 in 100 fail isn't that like playing Russian roulette?
2. You really know the only time it's safe to leave yourself or your partner unprotected is when you are having sex over the Internet... unless you pick up a virus?

I think that the 7-10% failure rate quoted by His Holiness (hehe) is overstated. I know it's not a valid sample, but speaking anecdotally I have never EVER had a latex condom break in all the many (many many many) tookies I've punched. The real Russian roulette is doing it without a condom... and even that risk can sometimes be overstated in the media. Studies have shown a transmission rate of about 5% in needle stick injuries among health care workers treating known HIV+ patients, which is a much more efficient transmission method than anal intercourse.
Of course, that doesn't matter much if you're one of the 5%. And of course when we add Tina into the equation, it would probably make for a much different picture.
So play safely everybody... with the political situation the way it is, we need all the homos we can get.

I have always had a weakness for Bulgarian boys. Some of the most gorgeous and sexy men I've ever known were Bulgarian, including a couple of ballet dancers.....
Anyway, I'm not surprised to find that these Bulgarian boys use the locker room for more than changing their shoes. I'm sure it happens in lots of locker rooms, in lots of countries every day, but those darn Bulgarians will do it just anywhere. Bless their hearts.
