A Look Back at 2005: The Rites of Spring
I'm often drawn to candid images in which the composition seems to tell a story even when there isn't necessarily one to tell. This top shot was taken at a springtime birthday party. I liked how the door frames compartmentalized the subjects. It had been such a long chilly winter everyone was anxious to get outside.
The lower photo is the same patio shot a few weeks later during a rainstorm. It has a hard time deciding whether it's an interior or exterior shot. Not the most dramatic shots, but still a couple of my favorites.

Andy, next time set the camera up to wait while you take your position in the third frame on the far right... then you'll have something in common with Alfred Hitchcock (he appeared in each of his movies).
You could try being in the reflection... but when you do i'm reminded of that now famous Internet photo of the photographer snapping a picture of a shiny reflective item he wanted to sell on eBay (think it was a toaster or iron) only to put it up and then others find his full image is there in the nude (sadly the guy was sporting a softy).

Nonetheless - the toaster sold at a record price.

Dramatic schmatic! The second picture, in particular, is gorgeous!
