The WA news is great, what's disheartening is local windbag Tim Eyeman already mounting an effort to introduce an initiative challenging the law. I can only hope it doesn't pass. :\

Finally, Survivor are going to start. It is the best reality show I've ever watched. The backstabbing, the competition, the immunity and, of course, the shirtless men... I really can't wait to watch its new season. By the way, Aras and Nick are really cute.

Anti-discrimination laws are always a good thing, but I have a question. How do you prove that, only because of your "sexual orientation", you were denied access to housing, employment, insurance or credit? How far will they go in making you "prove" you are Gay?
It's a grand gesture, but I doubt it will help many people in the long run.

Just like black people used the fear of legal recourse, this legislation will make employers, landlords and creditors think twice before discriminating against gays based on their sexual orientation so in that respect it will certainly help many people.
