The Gyllenwolf is on the Loose
Where has he struck now?
A pre-Oscar bash transforms Jake Gyllenhaal into a kissing, cackling, joking beast. Just the way we like him. Not even the blinding smiles of Ang Lee, William Hurt, or Uma Thurman could tame the Gyllenwolf.

Line starts right here to be turned into a werewolf by Jake...

Here's my final 2 cents on the Oscar bull:
BB won best adapted, Crash won original screenplay
BB won best director, Crash won best picture.
BB won best score, Crash got beat down by some "pimps."
That musical number looked like a car crash, next to a trainwreck, on top of a burning baby.
Neither movie received a best actor nod, but I still feel BB was the winner.
BB has won every other major award from here to England. It has made a lot of noise for a quiet epic based on a short story.
For a low budget labor of love to compete with a big budget Hollywood ensemable piece desgined to win an Oscar (hello Sandra Bullock plays a bitch!) I think BB has had greater social impact and will resonate long after Crash is on the $4.98 video rack at Target.
If the liberals in Hollywood can go to bed feeling better about themselves, "at least I'm not a bigot like Matt Dillion in Crash", then all is right in Hollyweird.
The gays have made AMAZING progress this year. For proof, you need to look no further than GENRE Magazine's Man of the Year, from Detroit. Then again, they did give Marissa Tomei an Oscar.
Life ain't easy for a pimp,

I'm going to break my rule not to refer to someone by his or her first name, if at all possible, until we've had direct and friendly conversation: I LOVE JAKE. I AM HOPELESSLY, PASSIONATELY, ETERNALLY IN LOVE WITH HIM!...that's only because Mr. Towle said he's got a bf.

I think Brokeback Mountain won for all the right reasons. Though the story spoke to my soul, the acting was okay for two relative newcomers. Could it have swept the Oscars if there were two A-list stars in the lead? Who knows? It dun us proud, and did us right as it stands.
Yes, I am deeply in love with Jake, too!

Ha, I'm glad Jake had fun Sunday night. Hopefully the others did too.

I'm still burned about Dolly not winning the Oscar...I thought maybe the song from Crash would beat her if anything but the pimp song?

Can someone explain to me just WHY it's so damn hard to be a pimp? These guys do more whining about their career choice than forensic accountants.

Whatever he's on, I want it too.

Ohmygod that's William Hurt?!

You gotta love him! ....and I do---WOOF!

Now calm down JT.

Jake...it dosn't matter if he's gay or straight,he seems to have the right attitude, enjoy the moment because no one knows what the next one has in store...party on Jake!

But, Donald, he's so freaking gorgeous! I mean just look at him: That wide open mouth, those perfect teeth...then stop looking at Andy and take a peek at Jake. He ain't bad, either.

Am I crazy, or is Ang Lee incredibly sexy, in an adorable kind of way?

This is the third time I've come back to drink in Jake's adorable nuttiness.

JT. I have to agree with you. And my sister thinks Ang Lee is sexy in an adorable kind of way. I don't get it. But to each his own. I'm way too attracted to Jake myself (the age difference alone is embarassing), so I judge no one...

I don't think Ang Lee is sexy - just cute. I like Jake, too. Who else do you fancy here? PS - did anyone else think Dolly was a stick figure?

PS - "Tina" you left your boa at my place on Oscar night.
Posted by: Tina's Sis | Mar 8, 2006 4:31:25 PM
My sister thinks she's "outing" me. Can I help it if I share a popular drag queen name? And Suzy, you're just hiding behind the beautiful blue eys of Jake Gyllenhaal. You so think Ang is cute. At least the age difference is more palatable...

Hey - if the size 14 shoe fits...
