Celine Dion in Wax

Celine_wax

Looks like Rene Angelil's having a wet dream. Caesar's Palace unveiled a wax figure of Celine Dion in honor of her 500th show at the venue. They chose to immortalize the most perilous moment in her career, when she almost beat herself to death with a furious chest-thumping during Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On." No word on whether or not that arm is robotic, but that would certainly be a great feature.

  3. Just when I get over thinking wax museums are creepy, you have to go and show Celine in wax. As if she isn't scary enough in the flesh (if that's what you want to call it). Just exactly what is your fascination with the wax museums, anyway? Find us some more Ryan Philipe and Jake G pics. And time to start up on Brandon Routh, the new Superman, too...

  5. heh, I thought the chest pounding was related to the song.. wasn't she demonstrating CPR on herself during "My Heart Will Go On?"

  6. Nah. The scariest chest-thumping was when she sang 'Here in My Heart' (or some title equally sappy) with that Asian violinist. I think it inspired Alec Baldwin's gorilla moves in 'Streetcar' on Broadway.

PS Why is it these wax replicas never look very much like the model to me? And did they run out of beeswax when they got to her nose?

  13. Couldn't they have chosen a nicer Celine outfit?

    ~
Rene is so unattractive as per usual. That's the nicest way I can put it.

    ~
"That Asian violinist"? Uh, you mean YoYo Mah?

  14. Say what you will, Celine has a *good* heart, as evidenced by her tear-filled emoting on Larry King re: Hurricane Katrina.

    Go Celine!

  15. She cries good.

  16. I'm amazed at how people can be so evil with her. No matter you think how horrifying she sings, she looks, or she acts, at least she has a good heart. (especially when she is among the best, she doesn't always look that bad, and her acts are actually very funny but that means she's not pretentious and she doesn't think she has to fit in the stereotypical "lady" category) And generally you don't be so mean to a person with a heart. She donated a lot of money to Americans and even foundation of aids...

ha... i really don't understand the evil tongues here...

yes we all want beautiful boys but at the end of the day you still have to look into the heart...

maybe i'm too serious and didactic... lol

but yes, the idea of a wax museum is always a strange product of human beings...

and by the way That Asian Violonist has a name. He is a Japanese artist and his name is Taro Hakase. And please, Yo Yo Ma is a cellist...

AND believe me, you want somthing more scary? look at this: http://snipurl.com/qa0s really funny

And look for the video of "Ziggy Un Garçon Pas Comme Les Autres" you can see Celine was in love with a hot gay guy...
