Natalee Holloway Case Gets Gay Twist

Dutch authorities have released the latest suspect held in the Natalee Holloway case, 19-year-old Guido Wever, although he is still under suspicion. Wever's lawyer told FOX News that his client did not make a good suspect.

Why?

Guido

"'My client is gay,' lawyer Gerard Spong told FOX News, adding that Wever sometimes wears makeup."

Why that eliminates him as a potential witness is unclear, but is there any evidence that serious crimes in the Caribbean will end up as anything other than a bungled circus?
(thanks lane)

  1. Poor Natalee! Murdered for her Guerlain Divinora Radiant Eye Shadow compact!

  2. I dunno, I think we need proof he's gay. Look at that haircut, and his eyebrows need some manscaping! But, wow, he's been outed to the world. It's not everyday that you come out in the news.

  3. so he's gay because he wears eye makeup, "sometimes"?? Wow! That island is seriously messed up in their thought process.

  4. Now what..."Joran's jealous boyfiend" did it? They can't even prove she's dead, nor been abducted. I blame Fox, MSCBC and CNN for "creating" this Holloway story in the first place.

  5. They're looking in all the wrong places. First of all, the school administration/board that allowed a bunch of minors to go to an island where the drinking age is under 21 should be charged with reckless endangerment. Second, in a country where cheerleaders kill to make the squad, why aren't they investigating Natalie's classmates. Picture the girl that grew up next door, they were BFFs till Natalie got her boobs and became Ms. Popularity in HS. Then she turns on her former BFF and ostricizes her in school, subjecting her to social abuses like so many pretty blonde princesses before her. Then they all go to Aruba and the Prom Queen disappears. Naturally, when the reputation of a shining white virgin is at stake, Fox, Msnbc, CNN and even the White House get involved. All the networks dispatch newsteams to the island to "investigate." The so-called "investigation" has already spread to three nations and not so much as a single blonde hair from Natalie's precious head has been found. They need to talk to the mousy brunette with her nose in a book about what really happened.

  6. So gay people can't abduct and murder people?? This is a mystery I've been following for awhile. I hope it's solved soon.

  7. lol MIC... sounds like "Heathers" or "Mean Girls"...

    "What's your damage, Natalee?"

Kidding aside, I hope they solve it... but it sounds like the police are handling the case in the grand tradition of Caribbean investigative criminology... which means they'll find a big steaming pile of nothing.

  8. I'm so sick of hearing this white bitches name I don't even care if she's found alive. Every fucking night for months on end I'd come home wanting to hear real news of a white house gone mad with power and all I see on the hour long talk shows from CNN, Fox, MSNBC is endless non-news about yet another blonde "innocent" aryan looking bitch and her out of control family stalking anyone associated with the case in Aruba watching people like Joe Scarobougrugh(sic) months after the story hit, endless night after night focus asking the mother of this racist alabamian drunk, "What can weeeee here in america do to help you find your precious natalee???"

Nothing. Fuck her. Don't demand that the whole world to care about another aryan princess when we have to face the glaring disparity between the missing white girl syndrome compared to those of color no one ever hears about.

  9. I always wanted to knock off the beautiful popular blonde girl in school... maybe even dress up in her skin. Guess I missed my chance!

  10. Thank god you posted right after my rant. Now I don't look so crazy.

  11. Fox News is reporting that Aruba police have executed a search warrant on the former home of Guido Wever in Aruba hours after his release from jail in the Netherlands yesterday. Wever was working in Aruba during the summer of 2005 as a blackjack dealer at the Holiday Inn where Natalie Holloway was staying when she vanished. He returned to the Netherlands in August 2005. On Thursday, May 25th Natalie will have been missing for one year.

  12. If Natalie were black, or gay, or anything besides pretty and white, we'd never have heard her name.

Personally, I think George Bush had Dick Cheney shoot her in the face as a diversion from what's going on in the White House ;)

  13. Wow. No one is pissed off at the non-sequitur "Wever sometimes wears makeup" in the same sentence as "my client is gay"? EricW even implies that empirical proof of the suspect's gayness would come from a better looking photo.

What the hell, man. With self-entrenchment, who needs external discrimination?

  14. This is his lawyer talking. He's throwing whatever he can out there to project his clients' innocence out in the public arena.

  15. I said last year that Joran's jealous boyfriend did it. And here he is.

  16. Ok, so YOU are tired of hearing about it. Sorry, but some of us are interested in the case. It's a mystery. If you don't like hearing about it, there is a very simple solution. It's called "change the channel". Just because YOU are tired of hearing about the case doesn't mean that the news media should suddenly drop it. Obviously, more people are interested than are not or they wouldn't still be airing news about her.
