New York Public Art: Anish Kapoor's Sky Mirror
Did Christo and Robert Smithson not impress you?
How about a bit of reflection? New York's next big public art event will be the installation of a giant concave mirror by Anish Kapoor, entitled Sky Mirror, in New York's Rockefeller Center. Those in Chicago are well aware of the transformative effect Kapoor's work can have on a space. His Cloud Gate (or The Bean as it is affectionately known) is a popular object of worship in that city's Millenium Park.

I like it. I also like THE BEAN/ CLOUD GATE
both would be better served with some nice green plants near them. Shade tolerant ivy growing up the walls of the 2 buildings on either side of the sky mirro. Some trees around the cloud gate.
Both are based off of a current trend in gardening which is based off of an old Victorian trend in gardening. The placing of mirror balls in gardens. old old trend. This though is on a much larger scale
