Flying Star Reportedly Busy in Toronto
For those of you interested in a bit of unadulterated "gossip, rumor, conjecture" about a certain "flying star" spending a lot of time in Toronto lately, follow the jump. The rest of you, feel free to move on to the next item.
I formatted the post this way so those complaining that I cover reports like these don't have to read it. Those of you reading the item through feeds, I apologize.
There certainly seems to be a lot more action happening in Toronto than the shooting of a little movie called Hairspray. According to blog Lainey's Entertainment Update, a certain "flying star" has been getting busy at one of the city's exclusive private health clubs. Take it for what it is, folks — hearsay — but it certainly doesn't contradict some of the reports in the comment section of this post:
"Then the Flying Star's face took on a 'weird' expression…his eyes didn't move from Antony's face. At this point, he asked Antony to massage his stomach and Antony obliged. But then the sheet 'slipped' off, and since the Flying Star was not wearing underwear, Antony was treated to the Flying Star's standing excitement, and Antony quickly pulled the sheet back up, and all the while, the Flying Star kept smiling, kept staring. Next thing you know, the sheet 'slipped' again…Antony's starting to freak out at this point, sweating, uneasy - he pulls the sheet back up again, to no avail because wouldn't you know it, the sheet 'slipped' again …for the third time!!!"

I don't understand why you should apologize for or have to hide posts like this. I think those who complain about the content on towleroad are ungrateful bitches.

John Travolta is kissing some blond boy goodbye on the plane. Saw this a few days ago. As for the massage situation, I am a little surprised, and I say little only because I think "Scientology" is the Hollywood religion for closeted actors. Tom Cruise, John Travolta, Nicole Kidman, etc, etc, etc. Very curious...
As for hiding these stories, puh-lease. I concur with Stevo, opinions are like assholes, everybody has 'em. I think people are so desperate for attention, that bitching and whining and negative attention is another way of being heard. It's trifling...

Nicole Kidman is a Catholic.

gosh I read all about this more than a week ago....the news seems a little stale by now - and I use the term "news" loosely.

Hmm...sounds a lot like what my friend's employees encountered at the spa in Scottsdale.
Nothing worse than a sloppy closet case...

Andy, for all the negativity and mud-slinging from people regarding your reporting of celebrity news, I find it amusing that while skimming the main page most of the comments are under celebrity gossip. The most comments are Justin Timberlake (34), Suri Cruise (13), Paris Hilton's CD (14) and Rupert Everett (33) compared to 7 or 8 for politcal news, etc. Assuming these represent the interests of most of your viewers on Towleroad, why all the bitching when it seems they are getting what they want??? =)

Sorta the same philosophy as Fox News. Don't make any judgements, just report the story as we see it. It's fair and balanced. AND question the patriotism (so to speak) of everyone who doesn't agree with groupthink. WE are the voice of the majority! And we own this place.
Funny how almost every Travolta story is the same: in a sauna, steam room, on a massage table. You'd think he'd try to change it up a bit ;-)

Following the gossip trail, the flying star is a married gay man, so I assume that he's living a bifurcated lifestyle (with a 'home and away' clause in the contract). Funny that when gay men are seeking to make 'married gay men' into a two men who are married to one another, the older MGM (gay man married to a woman) category reappears.
As I like 'encounter sex' I don't think that there's nothing wrong with him seeking sex, but its just annoying that someone can't take the hint about rejection. I can imagine the cheesy grin also.Suggests he isn't really closeted at all.
But it's an etiquette thing in bathhouse subculture - I thought the flying star would be aware of 'negotiation skills'and good manners. Its one thing to be daring, take risks, etc (a la George Michael), but nobody likes someone who keeps hassling you and is unable to take the hint that no means no. If he'd done this to a woman, it would be construed as sexual harrassment, so what's the difference here?
I'm sure he's not the only one playing home and away, but manners maketh man, no? Play nice/nicer, flying star and then you might become a shooting star [I'm sorry already for that one].

PSMIKE: Maybe Mr. Travolta has tight pores.

I have a friend that never misses an opportunity to tell me the sordid details of his latest bathhouse, park bushes or rest stop conquest. He has never told me that he picked up a trick in church or at work or at a funeral. I never thought to question the validity of his claims simply because his stories always involve the same basic locations and scenarios.
How strange it seems that someone would feel that the similarity between the many stories about Travolta’s escapades would call their validity into question. If the guy has a massage/sauna fetish, wouldn’t it make sense that there would be more message/sauna encounters and therefore more message/sauna stories?
For the record, I still hope he AND Tom Cruise are straight. There is nothing about either of them that I admire.

I couldn't care less about Travolta and his playing around with boys.
The issue is the SANCTITY of marriage! Where are the holier than thou types condemning Travolta's destruction of the sanctity of marriage??

JT,
Once again, a JT is the topic of conversation at Towleroad.
Out of respect to you I consciously avoided using "JT" in my previous post. Even when you mind your own business you manage to get trashed in the comment sections! ;)

The "sanctity of marriage" is a myth.
Marriage has NEVER sanctified a bad or bogus relationship. Marriage has never made a good relationship more sanctimonious and marriage is not required to sanctify a relationship.
Trust me, the "holier than thou" types love it when they hear about gay men who are cheating on their straight marriages. It plays well into their villainization of gay men and their "gays are out to destroy the family" meme.

This is going to break any day now on NE right? I told the women at the BBQ Sat. about it and their jaws dropped.

I agree with Zeke. The whole saving marriage thing is bs. If they want to save marriage, outlaw both divorce and adultery. As for JT and all the other closet cases, they go to places that are shades of gray, where they could mask passes as a misunderstanding.
Andy your site is great. As for those who want more serious news, go and look at a news paper, I do both. I go to Towleroad for some good gay politics and some good trash.

For years I've heard stories from people at hotels in NYC about JT making passes at the guy giving him a massage.
