Homoerotic Sports Traditions: The Aggie Squeeze
The Texas A&M Aggie Corps. apparently has a cheer that involves grabbing the family jewels and letting out a roar. I'm not sure that it outdoes New Zealand's "haka" dance, popularized by the All Blacks rugby team, but it may come close.
And for those Aggies that don't let out their steam in the backward crotch rub, there's always lip-synching to Bonnie Tyler back in the dorm room.

Is it me or is the definition of what is homoerotic in terms of males ridiculously wide.
Look! Theres an ad of a soccer player covered in paint, screaming with NO SHIRT ON! Hey, a guy hugging his best friend! And a guy taking a shower in a soap commercial! OMG! Oooh, and groups of marines doing an exercise in which they pile on top of one another to simulate what it would be like to be buried alive among your wounded/dead fellow troops to see if you keep your calm! Its homoerotic!

Please! They're Aggies, and there's nothing at all homoerotic, or homophobic about this. Trust me, Aggie's are the butt of many jokes in Texas (and I'm sure elsewhere too), and this is more of a military dunce dance than anything even remotely resembling homoerotic. Gig Em!

Aggies are some of the most homophobic, disgusting people in that very large state. I'm a little sorry to see the same people that engage in anti-gay activities on an annual basis glorified in a blog with gay tendencies...

I attend the University of Texas and I've had two experiences with the Aggies in the same football game, played at their home field:
1) The Aggie fans behind us ridiculing us for attending UT based on its liberalism and acceptance of gays. And I quote, "Did you know people at your school think it's cool to be gay? There's like sodomy in the streets and shit in Austin."
2) A member of the aforementioned Corps scooping up a huge shovel of horse manure and flinging it onto our marching band.
There's really nothing homoerotic at all about the Corps - they've been doing those same stupid cheers with their "yell leaders" (their version of cheer leaders) for decades... and it still looks retarded. Maybe you have to talk to them to learn what a bigoted, obnoxious group they can be.

I went to the Univ of Texas as well. The only thing I can say about Aggies, and especially the CORE - all 100% bottoms!

Texas A&M. Isn't this the school that had the scandal because of Aggie Band Dorm Cam? This roar definitely doesn't compete with the haka dance. I mean, men in corps uniforms compared to men in rugby uniforms...I know which one I'd rather see.

The only Aggie corps member I ever knew - and who was held up as a neighborhood "role model" while I was growing up - is now, thirty years later, a registered sex offender. Coincidence?
