Rosie O'Donnell Blamed for Emergence of the "Man-Bob"

Manbob

Rosie can't catch a break, can she? Nor can men who choose "emasculating" haircuts, apparently.

TMZ turns its sights on the latest hair-don't sported by Jared Leto, Milo Ventimiglia, Pete Wentz, and AFI's Davey Havok.

  1. Love Davey. Love. Love. Love.

  2. The heavy eye make-up is OK, but the haircut is not? Uh, right....

  3. I love Rosie. She's brave, honest and makes people angry. That's power!

Read her blog (Rosie.com). The Q&A (daily) is a must read. Love how she puts herself out there. How many others would do that?

    Go Rosie!!

  4. Hahaha! I never noticed how much Davey Havok looks like Pete Burns back in the 80's! Give her a crimper and they could be twins.

  5. This is such a crock I won't even bother to read the source article. Rosie's hair hasn't been that short in YEARS, and, in fact, as of at least a week ago on "The View" was longer than I've ever seen it. Rosie's a hot celeb again who refuses to apologize in any way for being gay and OUT so naturally the trolls in the media are going to try to pull her down. Blame hack actress Jamie Lee Curtis or how about just blaming the fools themselves with the cuts. Then again they're not getting lip transplants.

  6. As Rosie would say, "Loving TAGG."

  7. The style doesn't really do it for me but I don't need to like it for them to be able to show it.

Heck, I'm home today and watching The View right now. Rosie and Elizabeth downing beers together. Oh yes. Hilarious.

  8. I don't quite see how Milo's hair qualifies as this supposed "man-bob." Looks like a very classic style that's been around since the 1910's.

  9. ...why is Rosie such a source of contention. It may be the Johnny Weir effect; she makes people uncomfortable by challenging boundaries. I couldn't love her more.

  10. Gimme a f-ing break! This hair styles was popular in the late 80s and early 90s (as evidenced by my HS and early college photos). Remember getting a "weight line"?
It always amazes me how people get credited for something that's not new - like that bullsh!t Reichen came out with, "he's been Lanced." It's called "outed" sweetie and its been happening for eons.
(Sorry - f-ing freezing in NYC and I'm a little on the rag today **not literally, unless my anatomy has completely changed overnight** and I had to get it out)

  11. Milo Ventimiglia has gorgeous hair. I suspect all the people who complain about it are balding and jealous! (Hahahaha...)

  12. I stopped paying attention to men's hair styles after that horrendous (or hysterical) "Ed Grimly" point appeared on "Boy meets Boy" and was quickly adopted by every gay man on the street.

This "Rosie-inspired" cuts look rediculous, even on Rosie. In the background, some Queen is either hoping they are the "Next Trend" or laughing hysterically because someone actually thought it looked good.

There is NO accounting for taste in today's society.

  13. Let's face it...neither Milo Ventimiglia nor Pete Wentz can do wrong...they are both hot with long or short hair. Now Jared Leto, on the other hand, is hot only with short hair. And Davey Havok was never hot.

  14. I like the look and I think it's sexy on the right guy. Eyeliner on men is hot.

  15. Milo is the only one who gets away with that haircut, and with style!! He's awesome.

    Posted by: Thomas | Jan 26, 2007 12:21:33 PM

  16. Shane....the "weight line"!!!

I love it. Totally forgot about that. Had this hair style in about '89 I would say....

  17. What's funny is that Milo hates his hair like this; he was on Ellen last week talking about how it was forced on him by the producers of HEROES. He said it drives him crazy trying to act around/through that big floppy bang.

    Posted by: Ray | Jan 26, 2007 1:01:20 PM

  18. wow, with that pose and hair style, davey looks like an ugly woman.

    Posted by: vince | Jan 26, 2007 1:22:20 PM

  19. Thats rather odd Ray, because the producers of Heroes have actually requested that Milo cut his hair because of continuity issues with the show...Expect him to have a buzzcut in upcoming episodes. His hair has had bangs like that at least since his last appearance on Gilmore Girls.

  20. Jared Leto can wear his hair anyway he wants at my place...as long as he's naked and keeps his mouth closed...or otherwise occupied.

  21. I've hated this hairstyle since it first came out in the 80's.

Jared Leto - what a waste of hotness she turned out to be.

  22. Milo is the only hot guy.

    Posted by: kevin | Jan 26, 2007 3:33:52 PM

  23. Really hate to date myself (carbon testing) but the 'do was called the Dutch Boy and worn by the fiercest girls attending Ernie Pyle Junior High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico in the early 70s. Milo almost carries it off.

  24. 2nd worst do of the 21th century. Gee thanks Rosie

  25. Those haircuts look nothing alike..

    Posted by: Da | Jan 26, 2007 9:13:20 PM

  26. Until she learns to keep her big fat mouth shut, and stop being the self-appointed spokesman for all gays, she does not deserve to "catch a break"!

    Posted by: john | Jan 26, 2007 11:50:37 PM

  27. Everyone knows that they are all channeling Phillip Oakley from the Human League. You can see them all lip syncing to "Don't You Want Me Baby"

  28. I love the emo look. Guyliner + emo hair = amazingness.
