Lance Bass Splits with Reality TV Personality Reichen Lehmkuhl
Lance Bass gives a "thumbs up" as he arrives for the 13th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday. Today, People magazine reports that he and reality TV boyfriend Reichen Lehmkuhl have split for good.
Said Bass: "We broke up last week. But we're really good friends. Nothing bad at all – nothing bad at all to say."

I only hope that this news story has been taken out behind the shed and put out of its misery for good. Annoying ex-pop idol and fame-hungry douchebag have finally broken up. We can all applaud and move on.

They probably broke up due to Leichen's cheating ways. He was here, in Atlanta, doing a book signing and I saw him at a local bar. He was getting pretty cozy with the Real World's Davis who also lives here. Rumor has it that they had a foursome with two other guys that night but I wasn't there so I can't atest to that. But they were kissing at the bar.

Neither of them deserve media for this or anything else they do. Such an absurd thing, this "celebrity" culture.
One took first place on a reality program, the other was in a "boy" band. What have they done to make this world (or our community) a better place? Oh yeah, Reichen actively saught out thirds while they were in Ptown. Guess that's something--for some!

Didn't they break up like 2 months ago? Maybe Reichen negotiated another, last ditch effort at remaining culturally relevant so they're just announcing it again. Or some other crap.
And what do you mean Lance Bass gave us nothing? Lance Bass showed us you can be pretty average looking and inocuous and still be appealing to teenaged girls.
Lance Bass showed us how to invest your fragile post boy-band months in a space travel project that completely never ends up happening and still get back up and keep moving.
Lance Bass has been a survivor before and he will survive again. After all, he's friends with Sharon Osbourne.

I feel for Lance Bass. Wouldn't want to feel him, but I feel for him.
Think about it. Here's this guy who once has the type of fame/celebrity (boyband years) that we could only wish for (or maybe not). That gone, he needs to figure out a way to re-invent himself in order to stay relavent within the celebrity universe. Not an easy task. He's not attractive, doesn't have the voice to break out a solo career and is obsessed with manscaping his eyebrows to the point of taking on a dragish look. Sorry state to be in.
Unfortunately, he will likely be seen on some stupid has-been show within the next 12 months, if his agent is fortunate enought to find a taker.
....as for Reichen, he's exactly what we all know him to be, a TOOL. Not bad enough that he had plastic surgery for vanity reasons, but then starts to feed off of other "celebrities" to build a career for himself when he obviously has no true talent that would make him marketable in Hollywood, except as a fuck boy for some "Junior Celebrity Prostitution Agency."
I'm thinking that's his next step.

I love how some people claim that they couldn't care less about the Bass/Lemkuhl affair, yet somehow summon the energy not only to read about it on a blog BUT ALSO to write that they are indifferent.
I'm interested in how gay relationships spin out in the general media, and I like this one. Neither Bass nor Lemkuhl - to my knowledge - ever claimed they were anything but a dating couple. People date. They split. I happens all the time. Bravo to them both.
Contrast that with the Heche/Degeneres claim that they were life partners days before they split.

I don't think this is anything different from other celebrity reporting, but it does show some progress the press is making normalizing gay relationships (good or bad). Lance deserved better, so maybe his next bf will do us proud.
