  1. Elizabeth Hassleback or whatever her name is--is a completely brainwashed idiot. She regurgitates whatever she hears from the republican camp. I can't bear to listen to her. Thank god for Rosie. The View was a waste of airtime until this season.

  2. Where does one start? I have to admit that I laughed to tears with the bride. That was incredibly disturbing AND funny. When she took out the scissors I braced myself to not fall off my chair.
And I bet that was the one orgasm that b*tch Bachman has had in the last ten years. May she burn in hell. Oh, wait hell does not deserve her.
    And Rosie is well, Rosie.

  3. I couldn't agree with Jack more. Rosie is a voice badly needed on television. Barbara's constant attempts to change the subject when they talk about the war are maddening. Elisabeth's limited knowledge and naivete are shown every time she opens her uninformed mouth.

  4. In regards to that bride: I am so sorry for whoever Kevin, the groom, is.

  5. The bride was hysterical! I can't believe she hacked at it with scissors! My favorite gal pal is the bridesmaid who kept laughing. "F**k-off, Debbie!

  6. Jack and Ray are so right. Every time I hear that idiot Republican wind-up doll Elizabeth talk I just want to reach out and slap her. The woman is a complete brainwashed idiot repeating the same tired hackneyed Republican catch phrases over and over again. Rosie must be practicing the greatest self-restraint not to belt her one in the chops. I watch the show for Rosie and Joy. Babs is a bit of a washout too. Rosie and Joy make the View for me.

  7. ANDY thank you for the bride clip. I'm still laughing as I type. So this is the institution that Americans are fighting to save. HMMMM

I am not a huge Rosie fan, I was so sick of her adoration and lust over Tom Cruise, when we all knew she was a dyke and he a fag. That said she has redeemed herself of late and she is right on target with Bush and the Congress. I do hope Feingold or someone goes on record with impeachment. As for that bitch Bababa Walters, she should shrivel up and crawl into a hole.

Bachman reminds me of the nightmare from Florida, Katherine Harris, I hope she joins her as a bookmark of the far right, at least you know she's going nuts with the Dems in power.

  8. That wedding video had me rolling. Another reason I'm glad to be a man. If the hair isn't working, I'd simply shave it all off and start again.

  9. Rosie is incredibly brave to be so open and honest with her view in a country that takes you apart for doing so. I'm behind her 100%. You should read her book "Find Me." It's an easy read and can be found on half.com for pocket change. Such a powerful story she shares about her life. Inspired me, and I'm a tough customer. I love her.

  10. Patrick NYC-

I don't understand why you would be repulsed by Rosie's adoration for Tom Cruise? How many gay men go nuts for Madonna, Britney, etc... Almost orgazmic in their lust and admiration. What's the difference?

    Just asking?

  11. WOW - that bride is a mess. I wonder had Kevin seen this before the ceremony would he have shown up at the church? My guess is no. I love that one of the other women tries to calm her down by reminding her that she's getting married before her big sister. I guess it's really just a competition afterall.

As for Rosie, I generally like her and often agree with her POV, however, I don't think she has a very rational or mature outlook. Her assertion that we should impeach Bush so we can show the world we're not like him??? that's just stupid. What instead she might want to advocate is that if there is someone in Congress who believes Bush broke the law either in conduct of the Iraq war or one of the many other areas he's trampled on, then that person has a duty to speak up. Global opinion may be important it is not, however, the trigger for presidential impeachment. Like the wigged-out bride, Rosie must be a hoot to actually live with.

  12. Oh my god. The bride video is the funniest thing I've witnessed for months. Can you imagine marrying one of those? Gotta love Debbie, though.

  13. Can you imagine marrying one of those?

Brandon, I love that statement. I've actually used in referencing boyfriends who constantly argue and fight.

  14. "I don't understand why you would be repulsed by Rosie's adoration for Tom Cruise? How many gay men go nuts for Madonna, Britney, etc... Almost orgazmic in their lust and admiration. What's the difference?"

BROCK The difference is that she was in the closet at the time, despite most gays knowing she was a dyke, and she was playing to a mostly straight, white, female, middle-american audience. She was reinforcing the lie that Cruise was straight and available, and that she was interested in him in a romantic/sexual way. This was way before she took the stands she does today, which I applaud.

While I have no respect or admiration for Britney, and having seen her cable live concert can see she can not sing, Madonna is another story. She is not a great singer by any standards, but she is a good performer, her last NBC concert withstanding. She is also a brilliant business woman. My respect though is from her work to push for AIDS awareness and gay rights back in the early '80's, when very few did. That is why I am still a fan, but I do not go 'nuts' for any entertainer. Those who are 'orgazmic' are a bit silly and very vapid.

  15. Patrick NYC

Weak argument regarding Rosie. First, you're assuming you know her intent. You are projecting what you think her intent was. You most likely don't know her pesonally, and she has never discussed having used Cruise as a way to connect to a straight audience. Please.

The woman is more than just a lesbian (out or in the closet). She's a full human being, just like I'm guessing you may be. That means having crushes on people. Doesn't have to be a man because you are gay. Such a narrow minded view of the world and how people participate in it. I want to shake you free from it.

As for people being orgazmic, I applaud them. That's what created celebrity, hollywood, the music world, etc.... We all need people to go orgazmic over. It's what makes life so much fun.

  16. I don't know how people can find the bride video funny. She obviously had a nervous breakdown and some idion recorded it and put it on the internet. Disgusting!

    Posted by: borut | Jan 26, 2007 11:45:29 AM

  17. I agree with you, Brock. I never got the impression she was truly in lust with Tom. Although, I can't stand Cruise.

That bride video was awsome! But, do you think it was an act? I mean, the camera was on the whole time, even when she was in the bathroom.

  18. On her Tom Cruise "crush": "I never once said I want him naked in the bed doing the nasty. ... I adore him, gay, straight, or somewhere in between, he is the perfect man that ever walked the face of the earth. ... Some gay-rights people, or gay activists, have said, 'Oh, you're trying to make people think that you're straight by saying that Tom Cruise thing.' As if gay people cannot appreciate the aesthetic beauty of somebody of the other gender. That is so untrue. He's absolutely the most handsome, gorgeous, make-me-blotch man I've ever met in my life. That doesn't mean that that's my sexuality, or that I'm going to end up marrying him or would want to."

  19. I agree with Patrick NYC that Rosie's behavior over Tom Cruise is a bit embarrassing in retrospect. She has more than made up for it with her actions of late, but that doesn't mean that we can't view the Tom Cruise lovefest for what it was -- pandering to straight women.

And I can't believe so many of you think the bride is for real. It's obviously a hoax. :)

  20. Mark M-

I would have to agree that you are an idiot. I came to this conclusion in the same way you came to the conclusion that you know what Rosie was really doing in expressing her adoration for Tom Cruise.

  21. Rosie is an ignorant lump of shit.

President Clinton wasn't impeached for having an affair - he was impeached for lying under oath. Big difference.

Exactly what violation of the law or of the office of the President would be grounds for impeachment of George W. Bush? For executing his Constitutional duties to take the country to war in Iraq - an act which, by the way, a majority of US Senators at the time - including Senator Hillary Clinton - voted for.

Believe me, I am not fan of George W. Bush or of the war in Iraq but blathering about impeachment does no good at this point and is just a distraction.

At any rate, since Secretary of State O'Donnell seems to be a big fat know-it-all about foreign policy, let me ask Madame Secretary: What should the United States do if we pull all our troops out precipitously from Iraq and the country dissolves into complete anarchy and a bloody civil war, the Shiite government becomes allied with Iran, and the rest of the Sunni-dominated nations in that region get involved to stop an Iranian hegemony, leading to an even wider regional conflagration and sky-high oil prices.

I'm waiting for an answer, Secretary O'Donnell...

  22. Sorry guys but Bridezilla, though very funny indeed, is as fake as can be. Her entrance is the tip-off. Who on earth would walk in, turn and close the door, and begin with a dramatic whine "Oh no!". A real Bridezilla would have walked in screaming and cursing, going STRAIGHT to the bathroom mirror!
Bad melodrama, but good camp. It should been shown everytime a wingnut opens his/her mouth about gay marriage!

  23. I agree with you guys that the bride thing is probably a fabrication, more obvious on a second viewing. But it's great entertainment nonetheless.

    Posted by: andy | Jan 26, 2007 12:32:30 PM

  24. LightningLad...you are correct that Clinton was impeached for lying under oath...but the lies concerned his sex life, which, in my opinion, is NO ONE's business but his, Hillary's and Monica's. His lies did not affect the course of this nation (or rather, should NOT have affected it). Bush, on the other hand, lied to the American people in his SOTU speech when he distorted intelligence data and led the Congress and the American people to believe that Iraq had, at the time, been attempting to obtain yellowcake uranium from African sources in order to manufacture weapons of mass destruction. We know now that the intelligence data was years old and had been disproven already...but the Bush administration presented it as fresh new evidence. It wasn't.

  25. Andy-

Leave it to you to put a little sunshine in a cold Friday afternoon. Thanks for the laugh, even if the video was fake.
