road.jpg The religious nutjobs don't want gays to adopt or care for foster children. Well, somebody oughta be monitoring the religious nutjobs a little bit better. Warning: GRAPHIC.

Ira_glassroad.jpg This American Life is coming to Showtime. Ira Glass: "We really want to make something that would be different from anything else on television. When you turn on the radio and hear our show, in five seconds you can tell it's our show. ... And we wanted to do the same thing for the television show."

road.jpg The 18-day gap: "Researchers have discovered an 18-day gap in the 3,000 documents on the U.S. Attorney purge released this week by the Justice Department. The gap extends from mid-November to early December, 'which was a critical period as the White House and Justice Department reviewed, then approved, which U.S. attorneys would be fired while also developing a political and communications strategy for countering any fallout from the firings.'"

Metcalferoad.jpg Jesse Metcalfe enters rehab for "alcohol issues".

road.jpg The nation's first affordable housing development for HIV-infected, homeless and low-income gay, lesbian and transgender senior citizens will open its doors in Hollywood today: "The 104-unit Triangle Square development features covered parking, a pool, an open courtyard and an activity center. The nearly $21 million project was built by developer McCormack Baron Salazar and the nonprofit Gay and Lesbian Elder Housing."

road.jpg Angelina Jolie heads home with new Vietnamese son, Pax.

road.jpg Former Arizona governor tells Anderson Cooper he saw UFO. (via virtual matter)

Cryingroad.jpg Identity of American Idol crying girl revealed.

road.jpg Barbara Boxer slaps down James Inhofe at Gore global warming hearings: "Would you agree to let the Vice President answer your questions?...You’re not making the rules. You used to when you did this. Elections have consequences. So I make the rules."

road.jpg Sweden takes a step toward allowing gay marriages: "The Swedish proposal needs parliamentary approval but is expected to pass because gay marriage has widespread support in the Scandinavian country."

road.jpg The fight goes on: Author Terry McMillan suing her gay former husband Jonathan Plummer for $40 million. Lawsuit: "The defendants conspired and formed a plan to threaten to humiliate and embarrass Terry McMillan, and violate her privacy and place her in harm's way, and threatened to damage her professional and personal standing in an attempt to extort monies from her."

road.jpg FOX News needs to come out of the closet.

  1. First: You go, Barbara Boxer!

Second: Terry McMillan. Get OVER it, bitch. Isn't she further humiliating herself by dragging this out? Plus, does she really need the money? Sure, her ex is probably a little scummy, but throughout the whole thing she has been a homophobic harpie.

  3. Of course, many are already noting the echo in the story of the Gonzalez [aka El Diablo] 18 day records gap to the notorious 18 [1/2] minute recording gap in the secret Nixon tapes that were crucial to his impeachment. Nixon's secretary, Rosemary Woods, was always identified with that, landing on the cover of "Time." So far, I've found no public reference, but a former friend attended a party with her many years ago and insisted she was a lesbian. It is known that she never married before dying a couple of years ago at 87. Lesbian or not, she was ferociously loyal, even idolizing of Nixon, and, on his behalf, told his wife and daughters that he was resigning. She she briefly kept a little shrine to him in the OEOB before being kicked out by the Ford people.

  4. James Inhofe may just be the dumbest man ever to serve in the U.S. Senate. Thank God someone is in a position to smack him down.

  5. I held Terry McMillan in high esteem until I learned of how she's been handling the divorce and coming-out of her husband. She's doing more to bring down her own image than her ex could ever do. I agree, get OVER it! Move on. Or write the sequel: "How Stella Got Angry, Bitter, Jaded, Bitchy, Nasty and Stopped Giving A Rip About Her Groove Just As Long As the Bastard Suffers!" :)

  6. Babs is just setting herself up for a big dose of her own lip when Arnold runs against her in 2010- and wins.

    "Elections have consequences, Babs."

  7. I am continually ashamed that Inhofe represents my state. I think many Oklahomans would agree with me.

  8. Oh, puhlease, Tom. Besides, why would he want to be a senator? Gay republicans = gag.

  9. religious people + children = pure terror

Gonzalez needs to go, he is allowing every illegal into this country. His grandparents were illegal. They came here to work but never left. So how in the h#ll is a guest worker program going to work? They can't even find the people that overstayed their visas. Tighten the border. That's it.

I hope those homeless and low-income gay people can bring themselves up. It's good they have a place to stay to get their act together.

Gay marriages are so close in Sweden. I'll be exstatic if it passes parliament.

  10. Thanks Barbara. If only more Democrats would start getting a backbone!

Regarding the Foster Parenting story. Where are the local agencies/individuals entrusted to oversee these children OR this woman? Where are the teachers or neighbors who MUST see these horrific wounds on these children? Where are the state and national agencies that oversee these foster parent entities? Every National gay organization involved in securing adoptive or foster parenting rights should be using this story to illustrate what religious zealots do to children under their care. So incredibly sad.
