I loved what Bill Maher had to say on his show a couple of weeks ago in response to Peter Pace's comments that gays were immoral and shouldn't be in the military. Said Maher, "Say what you will about the gays, they do know when to pull out of a stinking shit hole!" Funny.

Carlo, I said the same thing.
Maybe it's the way the video is edited, but I swear she sounds very condescending, almost catty.

Amazing that Katie asked all those questions about the appropriateness of the Edwards continuing on when she herself took only one month off after the death of her husband and went straight back to work rather than spending more time with her two young children. I wish the Edwards had pointed that out to her.

The Prada bloopers are interesting, but I wonder if the amazing YouTube videos of the verbal fights between Lily Tomlin and the director of the film I heart Huckabees have been posted here before? Now that is some extras you don't see in the official releases of DVDs. Makes me see the film in a different light.

Maher usually has a point, but he missed the chance to denounce Coulter's slur against John Edwards when the subject came up on hi show.

If I was Edwards....
"If people had asked you why you kept working while your husband battled cancer what would be your answer?"
Who does she think she is? It is a-ok for her to work through her husbands cancer problem and nobody else? A true reporter would have yelled at the intern who came up with that crap.
Also if I was Edawards in reffering to catie's constant "some people"...."Catie, who are these some people? Are they some people hanging around the 60 minutes water cooler or are the actual people on the streets you interviewed?"

Why does the Edwards clip so shamelessly omit his answers? I would have liked to hear his responses, otherwise it was just sorta like propaganda to be honest.

With the Edwards campaign struggling to get the attention of Clinton and Obama had in the mainstream news, this announcement did not hurt his Presidential aspirations. Couric's questions are not out of line as they are on the minds of many.
