  1. I'm so sick of Baba Wawa being so frickin' diplomatic all the time. They should have spilled the beans we all know are there!

  2. Whoopie? WTF? I've never watched the View really, but isn't putting Whoopie Goldberg next to Barbara in the midst of discussion about Rosie's "departure" like a non-sequitur? No wait, it's like a big black elephant in the room. A very quiet one. A big black elephant just waiting for the right moment to say something to make all of the other "opinionators" irrelevant...like the show is. Who's on next week? Jerry Springer? Oh no wait, it's a giant "V" for a reason. Bring on Jenny Jones! If the Rosie stint was a publicity stunt, I hope the producers and advertisers are choking on the fumes of this enormous backfire. It just gave me one more reason to hate Elizabeth Hasselbeck and another million to not watch the show at all.

  3. re: Amherst

Good for those guys! Judging from this video, no way this could be spun as a "handful of rabble-rousers". Has Card said anything about this?

    re: View

As much as I like Whoopi, she is not the right replacement for Rosie for any number of reasons not the least of which is that she seems (in my opinion) out of step from the pop culture no matter her political views. My money is on Elisabeth leaving the show before/by the end of 2007 to take a gig on a Fox morning show.

  4. I thought Whoopi would be a good fit. I was wrong. This was the second time she has guest hosted and she was as grumpy as the first. Frankly, you can't replace Rosie. She has charisma and she gives her honest opinion. Two things that no celebrity has. The show was very boring today. I'll watch tomorrow because of Suze Orman being on and that will be it.

  5. I was so disappointed, but I don't know why. Barbara's MO is always diplomacy (she really should work at the United Nations).

Elizabeth was only concerned that her ass is on the line, and I hope to god it is, as I hate her, but the show does need one conservative tight-ass for the requisite cat-fights.

I did find it not-at-all believeable when Joy said she missed all the "girls" that had been on the View, and that they all wished them well.....YEAH RIGHT. You just know they fight like cats and hate each other. But it was good daytime tv for the dumb housewives, I guess.

  6. I'm disappointed that more people are not discussing the awesome actions of the Massachusetts University graduates of 2007. And HOYA86 is so right in the above post when he states that the large amount of student graduate protesters were "too large to write off as just rabble-rouseres". Mr.Card is finally getting what he deserves from the American public. Too bad Rosie O'Donell, Paris Hilton, and Lindsy Lohan are all that seems to dominate the so called "liberal" news. (In other words, if the news was so liberal then we would be sure to have this even plastered all over our screens)

  7. I'm so glad you linked to our video with Charles Nelson Reilly. He was an amazing talent.

  8. Fire Elisabeth Hasselback dot com. Almost 18,000 signatures thus far. Comment highlight: “Go work for your administration------or better yet---send Tim into Iraq and let him defend your Views and take a stand for just how behind this President you are.” Her tune would change so fast she’d get whiplash.

  10. Nothing on the Miss Universe pageant? C'mon I thought this was a gay forum? Or have beauty pageants become so passe by the 21st century? Most of my predictions made the Top 10- Korea, Japan, Tanzania, USA, India...all were stunning, but I liked Miss Japan and was glad she won. Very fun, and the black dress was sooo Asian and so unique and I just loved her...

I've been thinking about this for a while, but wouldn't it be great if they had a gay male beauty pageant like the televised Mr Gay UK in England? I'm sure Bravo would put it on, who knows maybe by the time I can direct & produce it ABC or CBS would actually air it... What do you all think about a gay male beauty pageant, you know with all 50 states and there'd be a Top 10 and Top 5 and Top 3... i think pageants are fun. How bout u'all?

  11. Jordan, The View is NOT required to have a conservative voice. Fox News could give two sh$ts if they put an equal amount of conservatives and liberals on. Those are the people that are saying The View needs a balance when they don't have it themselves.

  12. re: Charles Nelson Reilly

Steve, Thank you so much for sharing Mr Reilly with us. As a little queer boy growing up in the very deep south seeing CNR on Match Game and other shows somehow let me know that people like me could not only get out of town but make it all the way to Hollywood.

  13. Will someone please set up a You Tube page showing us all these "supposed" split screen shots BW claimed were numerous the week prior?? BW is a liar and just proves that Rosie was the ONLY speaking the truth on that show.

  14. "The View" must be like most every other workplace.....with a bunch of backstabbing bitches you can't trust.

Barbara just wants everyone to think she's the moderate voice of reason and the peacemaker when, who knows? She could be the main backstabber!

I bet the show will totally go downhill from now and never regain the ratings it had with Rosie.
