Elton John: Nepal Statements, Fashion Statements

Bigpink

Elton John and David Furnish dress down on vacation in Capri.

Meanwhile, in London, a spokesman from the Elton John Foundation said they were "'appalled' to hear about the 'bigoted and factually incorrect attitudes'" recently expressed by the Nepalese government, who put a halt to a program funded partially by the Foundation which sought to provide HIV/AIDS prevention and support in a far west region of the country.

According to Blue Diamond Society President Sunil Pant: "The public health officer Krishna Bhatta claimed that there are no 'sex tissues' in the anus and so there's no chance of HIV/AIDS transmission through anal sex." The authorities there also claimed that the prevention programs would "encourage more homosexual activities and 'pollute' society.'"

Said EJF executive director Robert Kay: "Men who have sex with men, transgender communities and other sexual minorities are made far more vulnerable to HIV infection when they are forced to live their lives in secret by a society that denies or condemns their existence. BDS is working to inform these communities about HIV/AIDS and their rights and support those who are HIV positive to access appropriate treatment and care services."

The EJF said it intends to direct its complaints to the appropriate ministries in Nepal.

However, perhaps a visit from the pink man himself could teach them a thing or two.

  1. I would think that waking up next to Elton John would be roughly akin to waking up next to an ill-tempered warthog. So I have to wonder: Does David Furnish regret making that deal with the devil in which he traded any chance of a relationship with a relatively attractive and relatively sane person for a life of luxury with Sir Elton?

  2. PeterParker, for some reason I read your comments, and pictured you as an ill-tempered warthog.

Elton is plenty sane, and we all show our tempers sometimes. He's just better at it.

  3. OMG, is that Mrs Lovey Howell on the boat there? Did we learn nothing from the tragic fate of the SS Minnow?

OTOH, the view that Elton is enjoying looks very nice.

  4. Steve,

I assure you I am a little ray of sunshine.

    xo,

    p.s.
Unlike Sir Elton, I've never disembarked from an aircraft and begun screaming obscenities at the locals.

  5. PETERPARKER, when you write Rocketman, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road or Candle in the Wind maybe I'll care about your opinion.

  6. Facinating... any cruise becomes a gay cruise when Sir Reg. is on board...

  7. Well I guess Elton has put an end to the idea that everyone looks good in pink!

  8. BOOBYHATCH, when you...Oh what am I talking about...I'll never care about your opinion!

  9. Ahhh, Capri. I was just across the way in Positano earlier this month and watching the tenders dropping off impossibly chic people from their yachts to dine and shop in the village was so fun. I hope EJ and David had a wonderful time.

  10. Forget the blabber about who wrote what. They look like a pair of clowns, in ill fitting pastel clothing plus a wig. Scary!

Now, the sailors are another, far more interesting story . . .

  11. Peter,
    I TOTALLY agree with you.
With as much money as Elton has, There is NO excuse to look like a beached whale in a pink suit!

For God's sake, go on the Karl Lagerfeld diet or something! (It worked for me when I wanted to lose 10 lbs) He looks DISGUSTING! Karl was bigger than that and lost a LOT in order to wear skinny clothes! SURELY Sir Elton can lose down to a less grotesque appearance. REGARDLESS of his accomplishments!

I'm sure he is probably a total pain in ass and a fucking BITCH in private if the truth be told. Yeah, David totally sold his soul to Lucifer (like haven't we all? I can practically smell the sulfur already)

  12. Jordan,

I actually wasn't referring to Sir Elton's weight, but the fact that he seems to have a nasty, diva-ish personality...and, no, he isn't very attractive physically, either. But mainly I was commenting on his personality.

    xo,

  13. I know sweetie, but I was talking about both. He's not only disgusting to look at, but you can tell he's got a personality that would make you want to kill him.

David must truly be a saint or just be desperate for an easy life (or could it really be love?).

And what KILLS me is that ELTON has the balls to rag on people like Madonna, who fucking looks great! And when he looks like THAT? He seriously needs some self-esteem (obviously), and a hot personal trainer wouldn't hurt (like Karl's).

But he's probably too far gone....(like his career)

  14. Have we all looked at ourselves in the mirror lately? I was taught to judge a person by how they treated me and not by what they looked like. Whether a person be content or not within themselves and their life, who are we to judge and why would we be offended? I mean, Shrek is ugly and at times, grumpy, so I guess he offends you terribly! Each to his own...

  15. Sharon,
FYI, I HAVE looked in the mirror lately, (and quite often) and it is beautiful, thank you very much. And it is not just me that it pleases, but many, many people (yes, an equal opportunity, egotistical whore).

Yes, I have been blessed. I realize that, but so has Sir Elton, much more so than any of us. I was just saying that with as much money as HE has, there is no excuse to be as repellent-looking as he is! There is a little thing called discipline that us gays just LOVE (or at least those of us with S&M qualities)
