Buju Banton: Gay Protestors Ignorant, Stupid
Buju Banton may have signed the "Reggae Compassionate Act" but that doesn't equate to much compassion for protestors at the recent Reggae Carifest in New York.
GLAAD protested Carifest because of its inclusion of anti-gay musicians, causing Power 105 (a station owned by Clear Channel) to pull its sponsorship of the fest.
NY1, who claims Banton didn't sign the "Reggae Compassionate Act", asked the singer what he had to say to people who say he's promoting hatred. Said Banton: “I would say to them they are ignorant, they are stupid, even though they proclaim to be intelligent."

Isaac Julian did a documentary on homophobia in reggae a number of years back, revealing that Buju Banton was a rent boy/closet case.
Why am I not in the least surprised?

Standing up and protesting against ignorance and bigotry is not "ignorant" nor "stupid".
Does he feel the same way about those who fought and won the battle for civil rights for black Americans? Where they "ignorant" and "stupid" when they protested injustice?

Liberal hand wringing about the cultural or constitutional rights of these swine or efforts to establish a ‘dialogue’ with these gay haters isn’t going to work any more that it would with Der Pope, Eminem, or Pat Robinson.
What will stop them are criminal prosecutions, boycotting them and Jamaican tourism, and mass demonstrations to shut down the venues that let them play. Are they dangerous enough to warrant that kind of treatment? The wave of murders and beatings in England and the Caribbean states, especially after their concerts, indicates that they are.
That’s a first step, but not the last. The origins of this gay hatred lie in cultural backwardness and economic poverty inherited from the Brit slave trade, Brit colonialism and Brit culture, which is steeped in anglo-catholic gay bashing. The solution to this larger problem is obvious – make the Brits pay. Confiscate without compensation all the profits of English companies that do or have done business in colonial ventures or the slave trade. Confiscate, without compensation, all the property of the Brit aristocracy, including the pampered pigs in Buckingham Palace and use those assets to fund projects to economically stabilize Caribbean and other former Brit colonies and to campaign against racism and homophobia there and in England.
And in the meantime try to wreck the careers and empty the wallets of the antigay pigs posing as reggae artists.

Ugh, wouldn't surprise me if he were a closet surfer. They often are the most vocal in drawing attention away from themselves.
He probably has violent sex fantasies about men, which is why he hates himself and everyone else and punishes gays for it.
