Anderson Cooper's Biceps are Man Magnets

New York magazine grabbed a moment with Anderson Cooper at the Elton John AIDS Foundation's Enduring Vision benefit Tuesday night, drawn in by what appeared to be some newly bulging biceps.
Anderson explains: "I’ve just been … working with a trainer and uh, I don’t know, lifting a little weight, and running a little. I don’t know....Uh, you know, I just turned 40, so yes, I’m trying to be a little bit healthier now and trying to eat a little bit more sensibly. And also, with traveling so much, you know, it’s tough when you’re in Iraq to do anything, so I try to work out when I’m here....This is really … I sound ridiculous. Wow, well, I didn’t know that New York Magazine would notice my biceps. My trainer will be thrilled. I’m going to pass this along to him. His name is TJ. He’ll be very excited."
Judging from the photo above, it looks as though a couple of other folks were interested in getting a bit closer to those biceps as well.

Mm. That could be possible. Actually, I think I read something once that either intimated that or said it flat-out... actually, now that I think of it, why did Thomas Roberts leave CNN? It's an interesting coincidence that it happened shortly after he came out ... just wondering.
So yeah. My previous post was definitely speculative. Who knows.

Sure is a lot of hatin' goin' on here about Andy. Um, jealousy maybe? Leave the guy alone. He does a good job and if it wasn't for his passionate reporting during the Katrina debacle, exposing the hypocrisy of politicians and the absolute incompetence of the Bush administration, we might not be as hopeful as we are these days that maybe, just maybe, we can reclaim our country from 8 years of Republican tyranny and misrule.

For those of you, who cannot write anything positive about Anderson Cooper, ask yourself why anyone would feel the need to placate the vicious ramblings of a handful of outing zealots.
Our community, the GLBT community, is working hard to counteract the gross misconceptions of the Right Wing bigots. We, the GLBT family, need to remember a day when newscasters did not present a positive look at our issues. Rather than attacking a person for not conforming to your draconian standards, take your misplaced anger and aim toward the people who deserve it.
For example, Senator Larry Craig claiming he is not guilty of soliciting for sex in a public restroom because he is not gay, as if having sex in a public restroom was some sort of litmus test for being gay.
Another example, Mayor Naugle of Ft. Lauderdale claims gay people are constantly having bathroom sex to the detriment of the Fort Lauderdale tourists and residents. The Ft. Lauderdale Police Department, an unexpected ally, denounced the mayor’s accusations, reminding him they had only arrested 2 people having sex in the last 4 years.
The Mayor has been kicked off several city and county committees including, of all things, The Ft. Lauderdale Board of Tourism, a virtually unheard of feat in any tourist town. Unfazed, Mayor Naugle called a press conference in which he stated; he will no longer refer to “gay people as ‘gay’ ” because they are an “unhappy people” he will only refer to us as “homosexual.”
These are just two minor but related issues, facing the GLBT community recently, giving society a contorted view of our community.
There are so many truly important issues happening here in this country and around the world; yet Anderson Cooper coming out of the closet is the myopic focus of your tabloid fixated mind.
This is truly sad.

Hey Leland Baby,
How about giving us all a break and lightening up a bit.
Last time I checked it is still a free country where we can live and make life choices both personally and professionally without checking with the Leland Frances Politically Correct Thought Control and Behaviour Police. Just because Anderson Cooper is a public figure does not give him some obligation to pursue your any one else's agenda. I suspect he is just fine and that it's you that needs to sort things out in one's life, not him.
