road.jpg Same-sex marriage in Sweden closer to reality? "Sweden’s three opposition parties, the Social Democrats, the Greens and the Left Party have put forward a motion in the Swedish Parliament to allow gay marriages. There is wide support in the parliament for the move, with the only party against the plans the Christian Democrats. They are also in a minority in the government, with three out of four of the ruling parties also in favour, but the Christian Democrat’s opposition means the government is unable to put forward a motion itself."

road.jpg Gay foster parent ban may hit the 2008 ballot in Arkansas: "Attorney General Dustin McDaniel approved an initiative Thursday, which will allow supporters of the ban to collect signatures in support of placing the issue on a ballot. Now that their initiative has been approved, the Family Council Action Committee must collect at least 78-thousand votes in order to get their proposal on the 2008 ballot. It was struck down by the state Supreme Court in 2006 and failed in the state legislature during the 2007 session, so proponents of a ban on gay and unmarried foster parents decided to take the issue to the voters. After one failed attempt in September, the Family Council Action Committee got their initiative approved on Thursday."

road.jpg Recent paparazzi photos of Jennifer Aniston and Orlando Bloom in Mexico which sparked relationship rumors have a backstory: they were at the 'gay power wedding' of friends Luc Brinker and Todd Diener in Mexico.

  2. As Barbara Walters was a friend of Roy Cohn I would imagine she knows a great deal more than just her way around sexual lubricants.

  4. Dan S is hot, but he thinks people should be arrested for holding hands in public (he thinks it rather immature). This from a guy who rights advice about kink.

  5. Dan Savage rocked, really excellent, smart and funny. but would it kill him to buy a pair of grown up pants?? he's wearing jeans like he's off to buy a burger at Hamburger Mary's. You're on national television, albeit cable, for crying out loud, Dan! Spend a few bucks and buy some adult pants.

  6. Marc Jacobs looks so sickly, and the fact that's he's flaunting his new physique just goes to show he's still not right with himself. Like Nicole Richie in fag-form.

  7. I know I'm gonna be ostracized for this but I would rather have seen JP bare chested not Marc. Lance Bass was fighting with someone outside a bar? Perhaps someone that paid $100 for a "Hairspray" ticket. Happy Friday all!

  8. I remember several prints of that Nan Golden photo were sold over the time period I worked at Sotheby's a few years back. No one ever took issue with it, but it was the only piece nobody ever wanted to linger too close to.

  11. If Condi is really a lesbian, I hope she stays in the closet. We don't need an evil criminal representing us.

  12. That Marc Jacobs cover is the worst piece of graphic design I have ever seen. Not Marc's fault, but that's the actual cover of Arena Homme? Are they outsourcing design to high-school students now? Sorry, if that's a mag cover, mass firings ought to occur at Arena. Hideous.

Also, "Men in Power" as the headline. Um, since when have men NOT been in power?

  13. The Lance article mentions that "Bass' ex Reichen Lehmkuhl (and current) beau Ryan Barry...joined friends the other night for opening night of ... the new gay male burlesque show at Ivan Kane's Forty Deuce club in Hollywood" while "MetroWeekly" has an interview with Reichen ex Chip Arndt recorded while he was participating in the Braking the Cycle AIDS Ride last weekend after which he headed to DC for their AIDS Walk this weekend. I guess my grandma was right - - "Pretty is as pretty does."

  15. Seriously, I did not need to see that vagina... i don't know what I was expecting, but I did not need to see that.

Can anyone explain why thats art? Its not pornography, but art... idk.

  16. I find it borderline hilarious that anyone could look at Nan Goldin's photograph "Klara and Eddy Belly Dancing" and decide it is pornographic. For one thing, Nan Goldin is one of the most critically acclaimed photographers of our generation. Additionally, her work has always been more a 'slice of reality/everyday life' than some posed, expertly lit tableau created by an artiste. And finally, some of her work *is* erotic...but not the photograph in question. Yeah, the little girl on the floor is naked. And her knees are spread apart. And you can see her vagina. But the photograph is most clearly NOT sexual in any way, shape or form. It's ludicrous that the sexuality police decided this might be child pornography.

As a sidenote, I read that Rupert Murdoch's tabloid New Of The World was responsible for this photograph being yanked. Apparently, the newspaper complained about the photograph which is what caused the police to investigate/confiscate.

  17. Call me out of the loop, but, why would Babs need to inform Ro about lubes? I didn't know lesbians need to use them!

Condo-lee-za? Her love for Dubya is all she has and needs, no one else will do.

Lance and his pal screeching in public? Just a mess with him and all his menz, lol!
