The Brit Vid was pulled...

Britney's new song sucks it raw. It is not getting played on the radio at all, and is already a complete flop. Her new CD will also flop. She is so over it's pathetic!

The Sony ad does little for me. It uses the same concept (aside for the bunnies) as an Apple ad from a few years ago. Even the song is the same...

Chicken Noodle News, man. Chicken Noodle News.

Rob is pretty. I wonder if CNN has him bunk with Anderson Cooper in the same room when they both cover hurricanes?
Posted by: Malibu Boy | Oct 5, 2007 4:47:16 PM
I love Rob. He is so hot in person and he has huge hands. Yummy. He does have a point.
Posted by: Matt | Oct 5, 2007 4:51:59 PM
I love Rob Marciano. Anderson better keep his mitts off!
Posted by: Eddie | Oct 5, 2007 4:52:24 PM
Rob's an inconvenient moron. Gore never said it caused Katrina, he said it's caused stronger hurricanes.
Posted by: Mike | Oct 5, 2007 4:58:22 PM
Eddie, you have nothing to worrry about with Anderson. He likes his meat dark.
Posted by: sugarrhill | Oct 5, 2007 5:18:45 PM
Since when is Asian considered dark?
Posted by: Ron | Oct 5, 2007 5:49:27 PM
First Sanjay Gupta "corrects" Sicko and misses the larger point and now Rob does the same with Truth. My faith in CNN is lost... I think it was the headline a week ago on their web site: "Man bitten after putting snake in mouth" (I'm not kidding) that made me realize the only true press left is NPR.

CNN pimped for iraq. CNN lost me a long time ago. Ted Turner sold it to Time warner a long time ago and it went right right far right wingnut

when will these idjit-head, global-warming deniers get a clue?

The jury will be in when the coastal cities are under water.

Who is Rob Marciano? Is he a scientist? What studies is he talking about?
Posted by: Boobs | Oct 5, 2007 8:16:06 PM
ok, this guy is cute but dumb. now, miguel marguez of abc news is an out, proud, and hot reporter. i would hope HE wouldn't spout nonsense like this f-ckwad.
Posted by: nic | Oct 5, 2007 8:38:48 PM
Marciano is a douche. A CNN weather man says global warming doesn't exist. Wow, now I believe it's not real.
P.S. I am a scientist in this field. Climate change is real.
Posted by: shane | Oct 5, 2007 8:52:54 PM
Marciano is NOT saying that global warming doesn't exist. He is simply saying that you cannot blame hurricanes like Katrina on global warming. Calling him a dumb, douche f-ckwad for making such a logical statement is extremely ignorant. Besides, he's hot as global warming hell.

Rob,
you, the judge, and marciano are the ignorant ones. did you watch the same video?

Those Bravia ads are always brilliant. This latest one is no exception...

"Gimme More" is first-rate dance pop. Even the uber-trashy video has grown on me. In fact, I'm kind of mesmerized by the whole Britney thing right now, and I never used to be a fan.

Lets see who do I believe about global warming? A politician or a weatherman?
Posted by: Vi Agara | Oct 6, 2007 9:37:52 AM
how about climatologists, paleoclimatologists, and scientists, et al, -- the preponderant number of which agree with the global warming phenomenon and the impact human activity has on it. al gore has dedicated a large part of his life and energy educating himself on the subject and consulting with scientific authorities. rob marciano is a pretty-boy weatherman with what, a bachelors degree in meteorology? give me a f-ckin break. he should keep his piehole shut when it comes to spreading and exhibiting his ignorance and just do what he is relatively good at --reading the news and weather.
Posted by: nic | Oct 6, 2007 3:04:57 PM
Think I'm with NIC. I think the claim has been that climate change could result in stronger hurricanes, not that global warming caused Katrina. There is a difference in these two statements.
Rob says the jury is out, and there is no conclusive proof of a connection. That means the theory has not been disproven as well. So his disbelief is voluntary decision making.
In the end, if no one knows, then it remains a possibility.

People, if you are genuinely interested in knowing anything about climate change, please read Emanuel Le Roy Ladurie's book "L'Histoire du Climat Depuis l'An Mil", which I'm sure must have been translated into english and you will understand that History, at least in Western Europe has always been conditioned by changes in climate. And he only covers the period from the year 1000 onwards. The problem is that a lot of these scientists need funding for their projects, so they come up with these kind of half-truths. I know what I'm talking about because a person in my family does research but also is part of the jury that decides on funding at the European Union level. On the other hand you have the media who need to sex up whatever theses scientists said, otherwise we, mere mortals, will not buy the papers, watch the news, because the headlines aren't worrying enough. How many of you have only started thinking about something when it is mentioned in the news in a grabing headline? I bet hundreds. Unfortunately it has become politically incorrect to contradict these ideas that the world in going to melt, but there are other scientists out there who do have different views on the matter. Its a bit like the MacCarthy era in the sense that back then a lot of americans feared facing up to a big bully, but when they finally did his lies came out. I'm not saying Al Gore is a bully or a liar, I'm not american and I don't know him that well. What I'm saying is that we should worry about the planet for the sake of the planet and because we want to live something for our children and grandchildren and not because of some global warming threat that may or may not be true. If the threat is proved to be wrong, what then? Are people going to give up on recycling efforts? Should we stop cleaning up our rivers, our forests? I hope not. It is much more about being able to enjoy a better life and extending you to everyone on earth. So, don't insult your weather forecaster, he is just speaking his mind, like you.

Rob is a stone-cold fox, and as far as I'm concerned he can say whatever he wants. The more he flaps his lips -- his beautiful, beautiful lips -- the more chances I have to stick my dick in his mouth. He used to be on local news here in Portland, Ore., and I watched it just to see him. *sigh*
And, seriously, cut the guy some slack. To the extent that meteorology is a "science," it's not a science concerned with long-term climate changes -- it's just the weather. So what he says is his personal opinion. And even though he's a trained meteorologist, he's also a "TV personality" who's paid for his personality (and his personal appearance) as much as he is paid for his predictions about next week's weather. All this hoopla and ranting about a 30-second clip on a 24-hour news channel is a bit much, IMHO.
