People, if you are genuinely interested in knowing anything about climate change, please read Emanuel Le Roy Ladurie's book "L'Histoire du Climat Depuis l'An Mil", which I'm sure must have been translated into english and you will understand that History, at least in Western Europe has always been conditioned by changes in climate. And he only covers the period from the year 1000 onwards. The problem is that a lot of these scientists need funding for their projects, so they come up with these kind of half-truths. I know what I'm talking about because a person in my family does research but also is part of the jury that decides on funding at the European Union level. On the other hand you have the media who need to sex up whatever theses scientists said, otherwise we, mere mortals, will not buy the papers, watch the news, because the headlines aren't worrying enough. How many of you have only started thinking about something when it is mentioned in the news in a grabing headline? I bet hundreds. Unfortunately it has become politically incorrect to contradict these ideas that the world in going to melt, but there are other scientists out there who do have different views on the matter. Its a bit like the MacCarthy era in the sense that back then a lot of americans feared facing up to a big bully, but when they finally did his lies came out. I'm not saying Al Gore is a bully or a liar, I'm not american and I don't know him that well. What I'm saying is that we should worry about the planet for the sake of the planet and because we want to live something for our children and grandchildren and not because of some global warming threat that may or may not be true. If the threat is proved to be wrong, what then? Are people going to give up on recycling efforts? Should we stop cleaning up our rivers, our forests? I hope not. It is much more about being able to enjoy a better life and extending you to everyone on earth. So, don't insult your weather forecaster, he is just speaking his mind, like you.

Rob is a stone-cold fox, and as far as I'm concerned he can say whatever he wants. The more he flaps his lips -- his beautiful, beautiful lips -- the more chances I have to stick my dick in his mouth. He used to be on local news here in Portland, Ore., and I watched it just to see him. *sigh*
And, seriously, cut the guy some slack. To the extent that meteorology is a "science," it's not a science concerned with long-term climate changes -- it's just the weather. So what he says is his personal opinion. And even though he's a trained meteorologist, he's also a "TV personality" who's paid for his personality (and his personal appearance) as much as he is paid for his predictions about next week's weather. All this hoopla and ranting about a 30-second clip on a 24-hour news channel is a bit much, IMHO.
