Charlie Rose makes his money pretending to be hard-hitting but really treating his often less-than-respectable guests with kid gloves, which is why they continue to appear on his show.

I have to agree with you, Miles. I was disappointed the other night watching that facist lying about his politics, his life, pretending to have some integrity. But I couldn't admit that it was Rose's questioning that left me frustrated. It's hard to criticize those you love.

Yes, to hear Rove rhapsodize about how sensitive Bush is made me want to kill something. And, yes, again, Rose, though he has the most incredible guest list on American television, is far more the Agent for the Status Quo than he would like to believe. He was a virtual cheerleader for the Iraq invasion throwing his legs in the air faster than Reichen at a fashion show for every lie that poked out of the Bush Propaganda Machine.
And, though not as bad as fellow "Super White Guy" Tom Brokaw totally ignoring the gay movement in his book on the 60s+, Rose rarely conducts any discussion about gay equality issues.
