You missed the really significant gay-related news regarding this awards ceremony, which is that Jodie Foster outed herself during her acceptance speech: http://www.dailynews.com/news/ci_7636463. One of the people she thanked was "my beautiful Cydney, who sticks with me through all the rotten and the bliss"--referring to Cydney Bernard, the woman who lives with Foster and whose last name is shared by Foster's children.

This reminds me of this really assinine interview with Dustin Hoffman on the Tootsie DVD wherein he claims to understand what it is to be a woman and suffer as a woman because he dressed up in drag for 3 months. And neither of them look enough like a woman on camera or off to fool anyone who's paying attention.
What a couple of windbags...
