A Message from Big Brother 9's Gay Boy Neil

Neil

Check it out, AFTER THE JUMP...

[[WARNING: SPOILERS]]

As I told you earlier in the week, Neil has left the Big Brother house. That hasn't been revealed on the show yet.

Yesterday, Neil released the following message:

"Thank you so much for the outpouring care, support, and concern from all the BIG BROTHER fans. This has been a difficult time for my family, which I am dealing with privately. The drama is slowly being resolved, and all is headed to a brighter place.

"I am now happy to say, that I am spending time with close friends and family. I wish Joshuah the best of luck and hope that he keeps up our brilliant strategy to win the big prize with my replacement, Sharon. Please know that I will NOT be back to the BIG BROTHER house and contrary to some web speculation, I was not let go for health reasons. Eeek! Again, thanks to each and every one of you for your support during all of this Big Brother business.

"All my Love,

"Neil Garcia, BIG BROTHER 9

"P.S. -Shit Happens- >: O"

So there you have it.

Someone said his father died? Who knows...

and you know what...it's NONE OF OUR BUSINESS! This day and age of knowing everyone's personal lives is ridiculous... he's off the show, nuff said, we don't need to be nosy and know what is going on.

Uh, Know What, I'm not a viewer of Big Brother, but I think that knowing everybody's business is a part of the show, and contestants are very aware of that when they sign on.

I kind of thought people CHOSE to go on that show precisely because they wanted people to know everything about them; they wanted to be reality show celebrities.

The lesson here; be careful what you seek and ask for, you just might get it.

KNOW WHAT, you're crazy or just ignorant. This is not a serialized drama or a sitcom. He's not an actor, he was on a reality show. The whole premise of the show is you live your life in a fishbowl with cameras everywhere and people on the internet watching your every move 24 hours a day. Of course it's our business, it is what he signed up for.

Posted by: Dan B | Feb 19, 2008 12:25:58 PM

KNOW WHAT... is exactly right. It's none of our business. He signed up to have the internet watch his every move 24 hours a day while he was IN the house. What he reveals about himself when he's out is up to him.

Sure, I want to know why he's no longer there, but he's not obligated to tell me or anyone just because he was on the show.

DAN B., if it was you on the show and something very personal made you leave, would you tell everyone your business?

Posted by: Jeremy | Feb 19, 2008 12:50:43 PM

I agree with Jeremy.

Has it occurred to some of you that it's not just Neil's own personal privacy at stake here? He tells everyone right in his statement that he did not leave for reasons of his own health. So draw your own conclusions.

Wow, god you bitches will fight about anything.

Posted by: BANNE | Feb 19, 2008 1:42:41 PM

Banne, you are so right. I had to laugh at your comment. Sometimes it gets like throwing red meat to a bunch of salivating pitbulls. Do you want to see something funny? Mention Reichen. Then get out of the way.

Posted by: Reggie | Feb 19, 2008 2:04:20 PM

Banne and Reggie: You guys are hilarious.

Well I'm just glad Neil is spending time with his fam and hopefully things are "okay."

Joshua is HIV positive and Neil didn't know and they fooled around. Neil was so upset that he could not stay in the game or face Joshua for not telling him before they messed around. BB will not make that information available in the bios unless the person involved agrees to it. That's the gist of it.

It may be inappropriate to invade the guy's privacy outside the house but it's ridiculous to expect that the viewers he voluntarily whored himself to would just all of a sudden not want to know what happened to him that caused him to leave so abruptly.

For the record, I haven't watched one second of Big Brother 9 or any of the video feeds posted on Towleroad.

I'm much more interested in the way people react to these shows than I am in the shows themselves.

Posted by: Zeke | Feb 19, 2008 7:29:19 PM

The guy was on a reality show. He left the show without being kicked off. Of course everyone wants to know what happened. IT IS the business of people who watch Big Brother. He didn't complete the task he singed up to do with CBS. There are thousands of people who would gladly take his place.

The word, "Eeek" is a little disturbing, yet more HIV phobia that faces many of us even within our own community.
