About the Banner #27
You may have noticed we did a bit of redecorating today. For info about our last banner, FOLLOW THE JUMP...
I shot the last banner with a camera phone, and although it looked to me more like some kind of atmospheric shot of the Earth from a satellite when turned on its side and compressed, it was actually just an average shot of a sunrise from a frost-coated airplane window somewhere over Montana. I was gonna say earlier, the new banner is hot

Strange, this one. I kept puzzling over it. I thought it was some sort of water jet stretched out. Or lava. It was bothering me. Thanks for solving the riddle finally.

Wow! That's a great photo. I thought it was a shot of a beach maybe, with a wave washing up onto the sand.
totally not what i expected!

I thought for sure it was the hood of a rusting car. Albeit it fairly photoshopped. :) I at least got that the blue part was actual sky, though, just not a reflection.

Follow the jump? What is the jump you are talking about? I think one blogger started talking about "the jump" and all the rest got on that bandwagon without knowing what they are talking about. There is no jump, for heaven's sake.

This one kept me guessing too, Andy. Pretty artsy.
And Rick, it's metaphorical. Like "web" and the room in "chat room." There's no real web, no real room. It's a "virtual" jump, if you'd like.

The new banner is great. The last one I thought was dust on the hood of a black Audi or Saab or some other car.

We had the same idea, Fernlaplante! :)
Doubt you guys'll read this, but I think you should move the shot over a bit so that "A SITE" isn't so obscured by the moss on the tree.
Very hard to read, now.

I like your current banner, Mr. Andy. I saved that photo from your posting of it from Montana. It was my Christmas time desktop photo throughout the holidays. Organic imagery is my favorite and your 'eye' for it is awesome. Thanks for all the art you share.
