British Troops Sent Home from Norway for Playing 'Naked Bar'
A group of British soldiers training in Norway has been sent home after their not-so-private game of "naked bar" was photographed and reported in the national media.
The Daily Mail reports: "The rules are simple - participants immediately remove all clothing - and the game is usually tolerated among high-spirited troops when it is played well away from the public gaze. In this case, however, the soldiers began urinating on one of their party who had slumped drunkenly to the floor, splashing urine over the bar's furniture and other customers. Local police were called, and handed spot fines of £500 to each of the men before handing them over to the Royal Military Police. Harstad police spokesman Gair Pedersen said: 'They were drunk and there was a problem in the bar but we are quite used to dealing with British soldiers like this.' Norway's biggest newspaper, Aftenposten, quoted locals as saying the soldiers had been 'bothering' female customers. One, Cecilie Kleppe, 29, said: 'Some of them even started waving their private parts at the other guests. Two of the Englishmen urinated on a fellow soldier who was lying on the floor. It was disgusting.' Bar manager Petter Holmbakken said he had never seen anything like it."
The soldiers are reportedly training for a tour of duty in Afghanistan.

In related news, this morning on Good Morning America, Chris Cuomo said that Prince Harry was sent to Afghanistan rather than William, because Harry is "expendable".
In other news, a U.S. Marine based out of Hawaii is being investigated after a sick, graphic video appeared on YouTube showing the soldier throwing a puppy off a cliff into a steep ravine.
Said the Kane'ohe Bay base in a release: "The video is shocking and deplorable and is contrary to the high standards we expect of every Marine. We do not tolerate this type of behavior and will take appropriate action."
I'm not going to link to the video, but the Honolulu Advertiser provides an accurate description.
"Two Marines are seen in combat gear smiling as one holds a white-and-black puppy by the scruff of its neck. The dog seems to be about 8 weeks old and is motionless as it is held. 'Cute little puppy, huh?' says one Marine as he smiles broadly. 'Oh so cute, so cute, little puppy,' says another in a child-like voice. The Marine holding the puppy is then seen throwing the animal overhand into a desert-like gully below. The animal yelps until it thuds to the ground at the bottom of the gully. 'That's mean,' one Marine says afterward."

The only instance in which I am for the death penalty is for those who are guilty of animal cruelty. It is sad that such sociopaths are "protecting" the country.
BTW, Harry is not expendible until William has a child. Otherwise, the throne will go to an uncle or cousin, depending on who is alive at the time.

I AM APPALLED AND LITERALLY SICK TO MY STOMACH READING THE PUPPY STORY - CAN'T BRING MYSELF TO WATCH THE VIDEO. PLEASE KEEP US UPDATED IF YOU HEAR ANY MORE NEWS OF THIS - I'D LOVE TO HEAR ABOUT THE PUNISHMENT THOSE SOLDIERS RECEIVE - THEY DESERVE THE SAME TREATMENT THEY GAVE THE PUPPY.

The military should not be surprised. This is what happens when instead of eliminating DADT and allowing LGBT soldiers to server, you allow more recruits with prior felony convictions.

I love it. Americans will tolerate being lied into invading a nation that had done nothing to us -- a war that's killed thousands of Americans and caused the death of tens of thousands (if not hundreds of thousands) of Iraqis; will accept torture against people suspected of being terrorists or just having a link to terrorists or just having them in their taxi, maybe; will allow the administration to rip up the Bill of Rights and piss on the very idea of Justice; but let a soldier kill a puppy and OH! Bravo, Joshua my man. You hit the nail on the head with your comments about the absolute dumbing down of both local and national news. The anchors on both my local news and on the national cable news nets now tend to resemble First runner-up Ms. Oklahoma and have about as much brainpower. Rumor is that they have to simplify the newscopy they read to eliminate large words and foreign phrases-they can't deal with it!

I also have to agree with Rob. I mean I don't know if it's something new or if it's always been but we as a society are very confused about what we believe is right, true and important, and also where the blame, if any, should be placed. Still you have to wonder are we as a whole even capable of change enough for it to matter in the long run? Or are we're still the same underneath. Learn to care as much about each other as we do about the little puppy is what I say.

A lot of this stuff shows the human community, more and more, on a global first world basis, has abandoned the spiritual and no I don't mean going to church every Sunday, that's kind of part of it. The 60's was as close as we came and no I don't mean communes and drug abuse. Come on people now, smile on your brother, everybody get together let us love one another right now.

You don't have to go to Norway for a naked bar. We have them in London (and a bit warmer), e.g. Starkers http://www.myvillage.com/pages/bars&music-naked-clubbing.htm
We also have clubs where you can get naked and piss on each other, if that's your thing.
