Chelsea Clinton's Ass Grabbed in Philadelphia Gay Bar Crawl

Rendell_clinton

Chelsea Clinton extended her tour of gay America over the weekend, stopping in at four bars in Philadelphia's Center City neighborhood, where her rear end discovered that the City of Brotherly Love was the city of Sisterly Love as well:

Cc"Led around the neighborhood by Gov. Ed Rendell, Chelsea was mobbed by local gays and lesbians, as she walked from one club to the next. They ran up to hug her, posed for pictures and certainly invaded her personal space. 'I grabbed her ass,' one young woman exclaimed to her friends after snapping a picture with her arm around the former first daughter. 'Chelsea, the gays love you!' one fan exclaimed, as she took the microphone at Bump, a restaurant and bar that was her first stop. 'Oh, gosh, I don’t know if everybody loves me,' she responded. Most of those at the bar seemed to, squeezing past one another in the cramped space to get a photo. Even some patrons, donning Obama stickers -- a rally for the Illinois senator had taken place a few blocks away earlier in the evening -- tried to get a snapshot as well. In all, she visited four bars in Center City, concluding her tour at Woody’s, the city’s most famous gay bar. Getting from one event to another proved difficult at times, as she was constantly stopped by admirers while walking down the sidewalk."

Clinton was joined by director Rob Reiner and actor Robert Gant.

Said Rendell of their final stop at Woody's: "This is where the voters are...We'll see 1,500 people tonight easily and they're all voters. These are important voters, they're smart, they're sophisticated and they turn out in large numbers and always have."

  1. Ed Rendell ""This is where the voters are...We'll see 1,500 people tonight easily and they're all voters. These are important voters, they're smart, they're sophisticated and they turn out in large numbers and always have."

Sadly, not so much. Yes gay men and women do vote in large numbers, but way too many of our brothers and sisters aren't even registered to vote.

GOTV registration drives at Gay Bars turn up tons and tons of not registered gay voters with no intention of registering right there with people willing to help them. They are mor intrested in getting into said bar to get a drink in hand.

    :-(

  2. "The gays love you"? Why do people say things like that? What exactly has Chelsea Clinton done for the GLBT "community"? Isn't she an investment banker when not campaigning for her mom and not a social activist? Does Clinton have a history of campaigning for gay rights?

I suppose I find the generic "the gays" to be insulting in that it reduces all gays into a monolithic group of automatons.

  3. I agree with Noah. But in this day of government control marketing of candidates, war and etc ... everyone is getting onto the bandwagon.

  6. "The gays love you"? Why do people say things like that?

Because she has pretty hair. Didn't you read the article? (j/k, sort of)

This primary season will be decided based on emotion, not issues. And people feel special when politicians pay attention to them by walking in pride parades, giving interviews to gay publications, and going to gay bars. The fact that this won't give one couple equal marriage rights, or protect a soldier from DADT, doesn't matter.

  7. Is it any wonder that gay/lesbians never have any credibility in news sources when we have morons in our community who make such dumbass comments like this article quotes. It takes a lot of class to say, "I grabbed her ass." So insightful of the type of morons who will be voting this election. And it should be noted not ALL gays love Chelsea, or her momma, or Obama. It always seems the big city gays make their voices out to be the voice of the rest of the country. The WeHo tweekers and the New York ass grabbers are completely out of touch with the rest of the country's gay and lesbian community.

  9. The gays love her because she's very solidly positioned in the aura of her diva-esque mother whom the gays like because she's a survivor.

The gays love Hillary like they love Liza.

  10. Noah, I agree with you 100%. But don't waste your time, chile. Don't you know by now that only certain gays speak for all of us?

  11. So love for someone is based on what they have done / can do for you? I see that a lot, but it's not the way I work. Not big on the "the gays" this and that thing either though.

  12. Really sad. In a truely equal world politicians should just provide political rallies and expect any interested voter to show up.

  13. As a gay man from " WeHo", I do not resemble, associate or consider myself a "tweeker". I am a registered, knowledgeable voter who is paying attention - unlike our disenfranchised friend from Pasadena who likes to flock shoot apparently.
