They're Back

Bob and Lee, the gay couple, are coming back to Desperate Housewives on May 4th, the first sweeps episode, and there are a few crazy rumors floating around about how this season may end. If you're interested in potential SPOILERS, I've posted them AFTER THE JUMP...
The first crazy rumor, which could actually bring back an audience to the show and shake it out of its doldrums, is that in the final episode of the season the show will leap forward five years into the future where it will remain, and DH will pick up this thread when it returns next year.
The second rumor, according to Televisionista, has to do with the gay couple: "Speaking of the gay couple, rumor has it - after the show leaps 5 years into the future following the May 18 fourth season finale - one of the men will be gone from Wisteria Lane and the other one will be living in a relationship with none other than Andrew Van De Kamp..."

OooooOOOoooOOOoo. Lame. They're such an old stereotype of gay. And they're annoying.

I had heard the five-year-leap rumor, but I'll say that the show really isn't in the "doldrums" as some might say. It's recovered nicely from a sophomore slump.
I hadn't heard the potential Andrew storyline, but PLEASE partner him with Bob. I love Tuc Watkins and want to keep him on the show!

How dualistic - can't they have Andrew living with BOTH of them?
Andrew as the meat in a Bob & Lee sandwich? I'm so there.

I don't watch any more. I haven't since the first season and even then I wasn't an avid viewer. But leap forward? Ugh. Who do they want to be? One Tree Hill? Well, that won't draw me back in.

This season was actually pretty decent. All they needed was to add more secrets and lies to get people to watch. Did Andrew leave the show? The last episode I watched he was around causing trouble for his pregnant sister. He's not turning tricks anymore, but he's there.

Strepsi, didn't you know? That's how it all STARTS! You make a sammich, then one piece of "bread" gets a little soggy...kinda moldy if you will, and all the condiments are stuck on that one side. Well then, you try to pull that other piece of bread and the meat apart, and that ain't happenin, so you're stuck with half a sammich and that other poor piece of bread gets thrown in the trash.
Dammit, I knew I should've had breakfast.

I hope Andrew breaks them up and moves in on the hot dark-haired hunk, just cause it's so something I'd do.
Andrew's always reminded me of myself, tho' I've gotten into more trouble than he has, I'm much cuter than he is, and my mother is a bigger bitch than Bree.

Far from the doldrums, I believe this has been the best season of DH to date. I actually stopped watching last season, the show became so stale. But it's been a blast this year, with the welcome addition of Dana Delaney's character to up the bitch stakes to a new level. The five years ahead sounds like a Shark Jump. re. the gay couple being unbelievable, actually they are an exact replica of my new gay neighbors (except mine are in their mid 20's) even down to their physical appearance. I like the fact that these guys aren't that likeable - so sick of the sexless matyrs on network tv to date.
