road.jpg Missouri joins 10 other states in push to halt California's same-sex marriage law from going forward: "The other states filed a brief Friday asking the court to postpone action pending the results of a November ballot question in which California voters could overrule the decision. The ballot question was certified in California on Monday, prompting Nixon’s action. 'Regardless of how California decides to proceed, Missouri does not recognize same-sex marriages performed in California or any other state,' Nixon spokesman Scott Holste said Tuesday." UPDATE: Court gives green light to marriage.

Telavivroad.jpg Gay community center opens in Tel Aviv: "A new mezuzah was affixed to the entrance to a building on the campus of the 'Dov Hoz' school in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, one covered in the rainbow flag of the Gay Pride movement. After decades as the home of the 'Workers' children's school' serving the children of the Labor Party elite, and later a local high school, the building is now home to Tel Aviv's first-ever Gay and Lesbian community center. 'The image of God can be seen in every person, and therefore, this building is not only a community center, but a house of God' said Rabbi David Lazar at a ceremony to bless the affixing of the building's mezuzah."

road.jpg Former Georgia senator Sam Nunn says it may be time to reconsider "Don't Ask, Don't Tell": "I think [when] 15 years go by on any personnel policy, it’s appropriate to take another look at it — see how it’s working, ask the hard questions, hear from the military. Start with a Pentagon study."

  1. For Senator Nunn to say, in that article;

    “People don’t understand that that [Don't Ask, Don't Tell] was the beginning point. We basically made it possible for people to serve honorably in the military without lying on the application,” Nunn said"

    Is pretty reprehensible.

    If you remember, the original intent of Bill Clinton was to sign an executive order lifting the ban on gays serving in the military.

    It was Nunn, as Chairman of the Armed Services committee, who led the investigation of how it would affect the military. It was Nunn who, during his invetigation, brought along television cameras to the berthing area of a submarine and had navy personall lay in their bunks and asked them how they felt about having a gay sailor berthing with them in such close proximity.

    He didn't conduct an investigation, he had an axe to grind. And he was successful. The new president backed off of his executive order, announced a six month period before making a decision, and then implemented Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

    Nunn, is rewriting history here.

  5. YES, someone please pass the hammer so we can nail both Nunn's AND Colon [sic] Powell's dicks to the same chair!

    There are at least THREE Pentagon studies, going back to WWII, that ALREADY prove out gays would not hurt the military—and dollars to donuts he knows that. Regardless, he's not having a change of heart because this Georgia cracka doesn't have one. Though he's being coy about it when asked, he's actually auditioning for Obama's VP slot knowing that O has made major noises about DADT repeal. Once again Nunn's ambition is oozing up out of his slime. In addition to being a raving homohater, Nunn also led the civilian carpet bombing against Clinton's proposed Executive Order because Clinton passed Nunn over for Secty of Defense and gave the plum job to Les Aspin. Hell hath no fury like the scorned redneck Senator.

  6. Didn't I tell you that MTV allowed homophobia? I've been saying for a long time that MTV is an enabler of homophobic rappers and other entertainers. MTV is not our friend, period.

    MTV also practises homophobia at the level of male bisexuality. It allows female bisexuality but not male bisexuality on its bisexual dating show "A Shot At Love". It's a phony acceptance based on the sleazy straight guy fantasy.
