  1. Sean Penn is such a protean actor. He really looks like he'll inhabit this role completely. He looks so much like HM in this shot. Can't wait.

  2. that's amazing!

  3. Vantiy Fair is one reason why I won't be voting Democrat this year. That's because Vanity Fair practises what I refer to as the "bisexual double standard".

This means that Vanity Fair frequently has female nudity but little, if any, male nudity. Moreover, it frequently enables bisexual female entertainers like Madonna and Angelina Jolie but never a bisexual man. This is a double standard no matter which way you look at it.

Of course, tucking the Sean Penn cover safely in the FanFair section is yet another example of how Democrat-supporting magazines like Vanity Fair treat us gay and bisexual men as the segregated pity class. We're not good enough to be on the very front cover of the magazine. We're not the "hot bi babes" in the eyes of these liberal rags.

  4. Okay, I'll take the bait, Jason. Why is the Democratic Party responsible for the political correctness of Vanity Fair's editorial content?

  5. I'm not saying DNC is editing Vanity Fair, I'm simply saying that it's a Democrat-leaning magazine. There's a pattern of such magazines and media organizations in America which, while demonstrating liberal/Democrat leanings, also practise the hideous bisexual double standard. They don't think we gay and bi men are "hot" enough for them, unlike those "hot bi babes", of course.

Therein lies the flaw of liberalism and the Democrats in general. They can go to hell, the lot of them.

  6. Jason's slightly off his meds today. When does this movie come out?

  7. Great, Jason. So go ahead and vote for John McCain, who doesn't think that gay couples should be able to form legal partnerships, adopt children, or serve openly in the military.

Obviously, none of that is as damaging to the gay and bisexual community as the lack of naked sausage in the pages of Vanity Fair *rolls eyes*

  8. Jason... altho that's a great image, it is not Vanity Fair cover material in the least. If Vanity Fair was a Republican leaning magazine they wouldn't even mention this movie, or Sean Penn for that matter.

  9. Jason, I have to agree with Sasha, that's a pretty shallow reason for turning our country over to yet another war monger. I hope you're just exaggerating for effect...

  10. Not voting Democratic because of Vanity Fair's editorial policies, wow, that's a new one, even here. I can see the headlines now: McCain victory assured due to lack of bi cock in the Democratically controlled glossy rags. I bet Nancy Pelosi is behind it all.

  11. Dude, I really don't like Obama but even I'm not going to hand the country over to the a republican. No matter how we as gay people feel (I am truly frightened about the role of religion in Obamas political life)about different things we can't let anther uber-conservative supreme court justice get in. Actually, so many of the supremes are really old that the next president will probably get to pick two maybe three. And guess what? They last a very long time.

Take it from me a truly unhappy democrat, hold your nose and vote dem! Take action in your home state and local elections. The other side holds nothing at all for us.

Btw, we gays have to make sure we don't become the new blacks. We have to make sure the democratic party doesn't start just assuming they have our vote. If we allow that those crazy preachers who are chomping at the bit for more faith based funding will do everything they can to get rid of us and our "agenda".

  12. Has anyone checked out JASON's email address? The ISP ends in .au, meaning that JASON must be in Australia. Can anyone say 'troll'?

  13. Jason,
What a completely assinine comment. So just because you don't see hot bi guys on the cover of Vanity Fair your going to sit on your hands and give a vote to McCain? 3 more Clarence Thomas' on the bench will certainly help you out with your magazine cover agenda.

  14. It is stunning how closely Sean Penn resembles the late Harvey Milk. And, Jason, dear, the only person here who is "pity-worthy" is you! Are all LCRs as pathetic as you?

  15. Sean looks great as Harvey Milk. I can't wait to see this.

And Jason ..... you need to get a fucking grip.

  16. I only wish this movie were coming out BEFORE the election rather than immediately after. Voters in California need to be reminded of the history of second class citizenship for gays when they have a chance to make a difference toward a more fair future.
