"I'm not sure why everyone feels the need to respond to JASON and entice him to make further points. Everyone knows that HIV causes AIDS, and that the behavior he mentions does in fact, often (not always) cause HIV.
Like when you were in kindergarten, the problem goes away if you ignore it, the reaction is exactly what he is looking for." Right on the mark DAN B. Thanks for being the voice of reason.
STEVEN, you're right, where IS Madonna on Prop 8? She has made her fortune by marketing to the LGBT community and she's being uncharacteristically mum on the California Gay Marriage Ban. Why? Where's our material girl when we need her most?

Cyndi Lauper deserves much more success.
The True Colors Tour was conceived by Cyndi Lauper stemming from her desire to give back to the community for the love and support they have given her throughout her career. The True Colors Tour is a celebration of the basic values and freedoms that should be shared by all Americans. My Hat goes off to Ms. Lauper for always working so hard for Equality for all. She really WALKS THE TALK...

I think we can break down the logic this way:
Everyone with AIDS is infected with HIV.
Not everyone infected with HIV has AIDS.
No one not infected with HIV has come down with AIDS (this is a rewording of the first point).
We can therefore state that HIV is a necessary component of AIDS, if not also sufficient. However, to avoid tautology, we'd need a definition of AIDS that does not presume HIV infection. We'd also need to distinguish between AIDS and other immune disorders.
To be flip, a low-calorie diet and lots of exercise will also compromise the immune system, so it's not just "bad" things that hurt the immune system.

Kabbalah considers homosexuality a sin. Causing a male homosexual to reincarnate into a female body in the next life
http://www.kabbalaonline.org/Safedteachings/
gor/Cross-Gender_Soul_Migration_92.asp
Per the same site it turns out that female souls can not reincarnate (sounds misogynistic)
I'm not saying madonna has begun to consider us sinners, but..............
A quick search turned up that madonna's particular kabbalah cult did have official posts on its website (during boy george's calling her out on it)saying stuff like not condeming but also not condoning homosexuality.
Maybe this might explain why she has not been vocal about prop 8.
Not condeming us so as to still get our money, but not condoning our love

PS
Found this over at wikipedia so it might be total crap
"Accepting Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, as normative, it believes that heterosexual intercourse is a holy act, because it has the potential to lead to new life, and because heterosexual sex mimics the mechanism through which God created the universe."
Logicaly homosexual sex then would be considered a holy act per Kabbalah

should read "...would NOT be considered...."
Turns out
Israeli leaders of kabbalah have been vocal in their opposition to homosexuality and given madonna heat about it.

madonna-criticized-by-gay-groups-for-
attending-kabbalah-conference-in-jerusalem/
Maybe she doesn't want to upset the believers of her preffered fairytale anymore than she has to and thus why she isn't vocal about prop 8

Why isn't Madonna speaking up about Proposition 3, which funds new grants for Children's Hospitals in California??? Think of the children, Madonna!

RIP, Del Martin. A truly amazing woman...
Yes, I'm sure that it would be difficult for Jonathan Moscone to watch "Milk." 'Tis Sad.
McCain is an old fool. Who is he declaring for his running mate, Alexander Graham Bell?

Margaret Cho still can make me laugh.
Cyndi Lauper is awesome!

Michael Phelps on SNL? That should be interesting, in an awkward kind of way.
