God I love the Clintons! I do wish it was her instead...and yes I am voting for Barack.

I know to a large extent I'm preaching to the converted...
BUT...
Please get out and vote for Obama.
All the speakers have been so wonderful.
Bill, Joe and Beau were all inspiring tonight, and I see a flicker of future presidential potential in Beau.
Don't miss this chance.

Beau Biden is a very attractive and handsome man.
Yum.

I was a little disappointed with Joe Biden. I was hoping he would be tougher on McCain. And this will sound petty, but it really bothered me that when he was talking about McCain's proposed $4B tax breaks for corporations, he left out the word "breaks", making it sound like McCain was actually advocating taxes on the corporations.
Beau Biden made me (and Michelle Obama) cry.
Bill Clinton was pretty fucking AWESOME, as was his wife last night!!
I also thought John Kerry looked more impressive than I have ever seen him!! I wish he had the same balls when he was actually running for president last time.
And somebody needs to fucking TAZE Joe Scarborough. You can rape him when he's down, if you want, but just shut that asshole up.
And who is that Mike Murphy douche who thinks the Clintons are going to vote for McCain?

OUTSTANDING! Each night the speeches just keep getting better. Okay, I'm ready to go and Barak hasn't had his moment yet. It looks like Georgia may finally be in play this election and I'll do my best to help make that happen. Ooh, I'm getting a tingling in my toes.

A very inspiring night! I really liked John Kerry; every but the statesman, eloquent and articulate. I hope he has a place in Obama's cabinet.
I feel like we can actually rise up out of the Hell that was the last 8 years.

I love Bill Clinton. But lord, he loves to talk about himself. It almost seemed for an instance like he was running for president.
I'm still not sold on Obama. I know I'm not sold on McCain. I may do third party this year. It's so funny to me that if someone not in your party changes a view point it's a flip-flop or a lie, but if it's in your own party it's a position change. McCain and Obama both lie, I just have to figure out which one lies the least.

I wish Kerry's speech would get more play; it offers the most articulate and effective attack on McCain yet, and was quite the surprise. Bill Clinton's speech was really great, and is it me or did he look a lot thinner and younger (and had a nice haircut to boot)? Also, I agree, Beau's Biden's speeach was very moving, and also, he's very handsome!

Let's hope Beau Biden survives his upcoming tour of duty in Georgie and Johnnie's big adventure in Iraq.

Matt
Of course you can vote for who you want but come on, on the issues that impact the LGBT community, there is only one choice.

Todd,
I totally agree with you that the Democrats say they are for civil unions/marriage, and the repeal of DOMA and DADT. But I seriously doubt they will follow through with their promises. Even if they get elected, I feel that the economy, the war, energy, and the strained relationships with Russia will take precedent and we will be put to the back burner and when another election cycle comes around they will once again pander for our vote. I'm just saying that I'm tired of getting my hopes up that anyone is government is going to make things better for us.

Bubba brought it, no doubt about that
Glad to see the Dems are picking up on the attacks on McCain, there's so much to pick on you'd think they fill 3 days of critiques.
You know all next week..it's gonna be "Obama this, Obama that, 9/11, terrorists, 9/11, Obama this, Obama that..."

Where the hell was last night's Kerry during the 2004 elections? DAMN! ".......mccain has to finish the debate with mccain."
Bill Clinton was simply amazing. Hillary was awesome, but I must say Bill's speech showed him to be the superior and more charming speaker.
The other day on MSNBC, mathews or olberman said something to the affect of how the Clintons could find themselves carried around on golden thrones and lauded by the dem party. A-FREAKING-men! I was ready to drive to Denver last night and place Bill on a golden throne and cary him around Denver.
His pointing out what he left (with numbers), and bush/ repubs squandered was great.
Loved this gem "........they expect us to reward them for the past 8 yrs by giving them another 4 yrs.............thanks, but No thanks...........the 3rd time is not the charm...."
LOL

Jimmy:
Our bet is still on right.
I commend the effort and the grace of the Clintons. You know Jimmy, the reason why Hillary and Bill said what they individually said was so that:
1) Hillary will be remembered as a potential next candidate if Obama does not win. Her speech was a speech of a winner and commander-in-chief.
2) Bill targeted unity, and said all the things that Hillary should have said, if she is not targeting the next bid.
This saga is so fascinating to watch.

Obama mentions the GLBT community in some little campaign stop and Towleroad goes apeshit crazy praising him. Both Clinton's mention the gay community in their primtime addresses and not one word of appreciation.
I can now see why Andy was picked to promote this convention.

If Joe Biden brings his work on violence against women to the White House, the world will change in the most amazing way. We live in a country with an epidemic of sexual and other forms of violence against women. It's time for it to end.

As an Obama supporter and a staunch Democrat, I am forever grateful for the Clinton's graciousness these last two nights. They've helped the healing process.

Woah, Brian, woah.
The Clintons have never been denied their just praise and accolades for all they've done for us. To think that they're now being under-appreciated, by Towleroad even, is absurd.
But that's not even the point. The point is that you can't compare the primetime speeches of two party leaders NOT running for President, with the words of the man who IS running for President. We have absolutely no reason to think Barack Obama will not be as valuable an advocate for us as Bill ever was, and Hilary ever could or would be.
Membership in a gay-unfriendly church? meh
One appearance on stage with Donnie McClurkin in front of thousands of gospel music fans? meh
Listing the fight for gay rights in your priority list at "some little campaign stop" in front of a not-very-gay crowd? Vowing to repeal DADT and DOMA? Keeping marionettes of the Evangelicals as far from the Supreme Court as possible? That's about as good as it gets in 2008.
I know we'd all rather have a President who marches in every pride parade, wants nationwide gay marriage now, rejected Christianity in college, has a 100% rating with the HRC, no- the Task Force, and will make Jake Shears Secretary of State, but that's not going to happen in 2008. So let's all vote for the man that at least calls us gay and not homosexuals, shall we?

Totally agree with the above poster(s): John Kerry's speech knocked it out of three parks and possibly an area code. See it if you haven't. It's what we need to hear more of, and I hope he -- and the Clintons, and Biden -- stay with that level of energy and support.
I'm daring to hope.
