Daughter of Playwright Del Shores and Jason Dottley Fights Prop. 8

Carrie Shores, the 15-year-old daughter of screenwriter/playwright Del Shores and the stepdaughter of his partner, actor Jason Dottley, (Sordid Lives, Southern Baptist Sissies) has taken to YouTube to speak out against Proposition 8, the California ballot measure that would ban same-sex marriage in the state.

That was great. Now, she needs to follow that up with a video giving concrete examples of how she and her family are adversely affected by homophobic laws that deny us the right to marry.

Thanks for sharing Andy that was great. I am going to post in my blog as well. Being from Massachusetts and having fought hard to get and KEEP gay marriage makes me want to help as many states as I can in any way that I can to support equal rights.

@PETERPARKER, re: "Now, she needs to follow that up"..... I can;t decide if you are suggesting she should do more, or that you think she's not adversely affected. Either way, you're wrong. This 15-year-old did more than 99% of voters - she did enough. More than posting a comment on a blog post! ;)

What an amazing, articulate and loving 15 year old. Someone did everything right when raising her. Not only congratulations to the happy couple on their nuptials, but for doing a great job on raising a compassionate and impassioned young woman.
